Offers affordable public housing, including multi-family developments, scattered site homes, and high rises.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) is designed to assist very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Families who are issued a voucher locate a single family home, town home, or apartment, with the correct number of bedrooms. The voucher holder then enters into a lease with the private owner. The Housing Authority will also enter into an agreement with the private owner for the subsidy payment.

Provides a Housing Choice Voucher Programs. The rules and regulations for the Housing Choice Voucher Program are determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the Housing Choice Voucher Program is to provide rental assistance to eligible low-income families.

HUD determines the amount of funding that is available for rental assistance in each community. It is important to ensure that the funds are used to assist only those families who are eligible. The reason Housing Authorities have waiting lists is that there is not enough funding to assist all of the families who apply.

Provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. Which means the participant may choose any house, duplex, apartment that passes Housing Quality Standards that is an existing Section 8 property.

Mod Rehab program attaches Housing Choice Vouchers to privately owned units that are rehabilitated. Visit the office to pick up listing of MOD programs to see if there are openings.
