Individuals and families can access resources once every 30 days for a supplementary food pantry, fresh food, toiletries, diapers, clothing, household goods, furniture, appliances, and other gently used items.

Expanded Parenting Program helps expecting mothers and parents with children up to 12 months with resources like diapers, education materials on parenting/breastfeeding, & consumer choice of other essential items.

Clayton County Food Shelf provides food to those in need. Items available include boxed and canned food, diabetic food items, and baby items (when available) including diapers, formula, and baby food. There are usually have some perishable items on hand including: milk, bread, fresh produce in season, ground beef, venison, and eggs. Use of the pantry is limited to once a month; this may vary depending on circumstances. Home delivery is possible when necessary; call for information. The pantry is also available by appointment early mornings, late evenings, and weekends (call for an appointment). This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Provides emergency financial assistance for low-income individuals and families in Macon County. Assistance covers basic needs such as rent, prescription payment costs, and emergency shelter vouchers for those who are homeless and needing a place to stay,

Also offers financial support for the following on a case-by-case basis water bills, state issued IDs and birth certificates, GED testing fees, gas for out-of-town doctor appointments, bus cards and tokens, diapers and baby formula, and assistance with work-related items.

Provides 60-80 diapers, or a 2 week supply, per child to partner organizations. To receive diapers, families may visit a partner location near them.

The Short Years Diaper Bank is available to any Madison, Warren, or Marion County family whose income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level,. Proof of residency is required. Diaper pick up is once a month. Registration is required each month. 50 diapers per child will be given. Only the parent or legal guardian may request diapers. We cannot accommodate requests for specific brands of diapers. Diapers are available for children ages birth through three. Children age four and older are generally not eligible.

Provides a safe haven through crisis care for children at risk of abuse or neglect. Assists stressed and in-need families facing an unexpected crisis caused by illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and other issues that can overwhelm a parent.

Specialized staff provide nurturing and attentive care to children (ages 0-6). Staff work with the parents or caregivers to help them through the crisis that led them to the Crisis Nursery. The Crisis Nursery Hotline provides telephone support to families who are dealing with a crisis. If a parent needs advice on how to soothe their baby, reassurance they are doing all they can, or even just someone to talk to during a stressful time, they are encouraged to call.

Provides limited diapers and related supplies.

The pantry offers non-perishable items as well as frozen meats. The Market offers perishable refrigerated items such as dairy products, meat, pre-made salads, and pre-packaged items as well as fresh produce, and breads/bakery items.

The Family Pantry offers hygiene items, diapers/pullups, wipes, toilet paper, soaps and cleaners, etc.
