Community Response is designed to reduce unnecessary involvement of child welfare and juvenile justice while increasing the informal and community supports for youth and families.  By utilizing Central Navigation, the goal is to coordinate existing resources and match participants with a resource to either solve an immediate need or develop a longer-term coaching relationship.

Offers free work attire for residents who are rejoining the workforce and need specific clothes to begin their new job. Donations accepted.

Also provides and accepts donations for personal needs (shampoo, deodorant, etc).

Program offers guidance for interviewing, online resources, money management, and job retention, as well as outfitting clients for employment success.

Services include interview clothing shop, community closet thrift shop, reading glasses, community computer lab, resume assistance, and community resource navigation.

Provides limited financial assistance for utilities and prescriptions, driver's license or state ID, birth certificate copies, education certification fees and work-related needs; such as, clothing and tools for job. Various other needs requested will be determined by St. Vincent de Paul Society at the time of the request.

Education Scholarships awards scholarships annually to clients to aid them in obtaining formal education or occupational training. Scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, textbooks, supplies or room and/or board.

Employment Support assists eligible clients to obtain/maintain employment with such items as daycare costs, transportation, and work supplies. One-time support.

Information, Referral, Outreach: Provides access to needed resources through comprehensive outreach, information and referral services.

Provides necessary work clothing required to keep or obtain a job such as steel-toed boots, nursing scrubs, uniforms, etc. Computers are available for public use to construct resumes, do job search, fill out online job applications, etc.

Bus tickets and work clothing are available for new employment through the Work Readiness program.

Program provides a pair of steel toed work boots, or non-skid shoes to a new employee who has a referral from their new employer.

Offers the Work Place Wardrobe, which is a clothing closet that helps anyone in need with work clothing. Limited to one outfit per person.
