Each Illinois Medicaid Provider provides transportation to doctor's appointments. Some providers may also provide trips to places like pharmacies, WIC clinics, nursing homes, or other health-related programs. Some providers may provide transportation assistance in the form of bus passes, and some may provide mileage reimbursement for trips to doctor's appointments.

Transportation to routine doctors appointments outside Harrison County, as long as the doctor is a client
Meal preparation in the home
Respite care
Home health aides

Provides medical appointment transportation for seniors. Other transportation needs are not covered at this time. Transportation is available for trips both within the county and also into surrounding areas outside of the county.

In-home caregivers provide a range of services, including assistance with personal care, bathing, bill preparation, changing bed linens, cleaning dishes, companionship/respite care, general homemaking, grooming, laundry, letter writing, mail review, meal preparation and cleanup, medication reminders, organizing living space and closets, reading reminders, scheduling appointments, shopping, taking out garbage, transportation, and errands.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities, burial expense, prescription medication co-pays, non-emergency medical transportation, and food may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Companionship, respite care, housekeeping, chores, pet care, meal prep, hospital to home transition care, grooming, bathing/dressing, alzheimer’s/dementia care, ambulation, medication reminders, continence care, and appointment assistance.  Also provides transportation to appointments, running errands or social events.

Provides transportation to and from non-emergency medical appointments, grocery stores, food banks and farmers markets.

Provides transportation to the two VNA Clinics in Aurora Township.

Offers transportation to individuals ages 60 and older for out-of-area medical appointments. Must call the office at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. Donations are suggested for this service, but no one age 60 or over will be refused a ride due to inability to pay.

Rural transportation services for those ages 60 and over, disabled individuals, and general public.

Offers services for older adults including congregate meals, home delivered meals, information and referral to community resources, transportation, and help applying for benefits.

Offers Medical Case Management for people living with HIV/AIDS. Provides connection to low-cost HIV medical care and medication services. Once enrolled, transportation assistance may be available for medical appointments, lab visits, and pharmacy trips. Food vouchers and access to local food pantries may also be available. Referrals to lawyers, legal organizations, and other supportive services can be provided.

Provides safe door-to-door transportation for eligible elderly citizens and individuals with disabilities in the metro area of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Hiawatha and public transportation to all Linn County residents outside the metro area.

Provides public transit service provides convenient, low-cost transportation for work, medical appointments, shopping, education, social, or any other transportation need you may have.

Medicaid riders, if your ride is covered by Medicaid, your ride must be booked through your Medicaid transportation broker. Rides cannot be scheduled without Medicaid broker approval.

To schedule visit the website or call at least one day in advance to receive priority consideration. Same day ride requests are subject t o driver availability. Have the following information when you schedule a ride:

Provides scheduled, non-emergency medical transportation including hospital discharges, ER discharges, or medical appointments.

Transportation to medical appointments for needy veterans through the Disabled American Veterans.

Provides transportation to visit such places as the grocery store, hair salon, local medical appointments, transportation to work, and even entertainment venues.

TransVAC for Local in-county trips.
MedVAC for Out-of-county medical trips.

Provides the regional public transit system, offering transportation services open to the general public. Door-to-door service is available as needed, including specialized transportation for non-emergency medical needs such as trips to medical appointments, hospitals, nursing homes, or other care facilities. Accommodations are available for individuals requiring wheelchair-accessible vehicles or other safety features. 

Additionally, the service supports older adults by providing transportation for medical appointments, shopping, banking, social events, and other activities, ensuring accessibility for those who need special accommodations.

Non-emergency transportation for medically related appointments.

Offers transportation to anyone in need. The transportation service will pick up the individual from home, stay with them through the appointment and bring them back home. Transportation options include (but not limited to) rides to medical appointments, job interviews, and grocery pickups. If transportation is needed, individual is encouraged to call the Ankeny Service Center to check on assistance available.
