Provides basic life necessities that helps keep clients in their homes.

MORE is not able to provide unlimited funds to anyone; however, it is available to provide advice and, if available, some funds to those facing eviction or utility shut-offs. The MORE Center is also a facilitator for Salvation Army assistance.

Those facing eviction or utility shut-off (gas, electric) may visit the MORE Center during regular hours to receive an application. Must provide proof of residence, all family income, 5 day notice to vacate or utility shut-off notice, social security number, and any other pertinent documentation. A case worker will call back to evaluate immediate needs and advise on a course of action.

Tax experts seek options for reductions and affordable payment plans.

Offers personalized housing counseling services to help individuals and families achieve stable, affordable housing.

Certified counselors provide guidance on a variety of housing issues, including renting, homeownership preparation, HOEPA, HECM reverse mortgages, and homelessness.

Assists with budgeting, debt management, and credit-building to strengthen financial stability.

Homebuyer education offers monthly workshops to help potential homeowners prepare for homeownership; one-on-one counseling is also available after completing the workshop.

Advocacy services include preparing mortgage plan, review purchase agreements, review credit reports, and assist with correcting incorrect information on credit reports.

Offers veterans (ill or injured post 9/11 veterans within 10 years of discharge) and their families the opportunity to live in a rent-free, single-family home for a period of two to three years while receiving financial counseling and community reintegration support.

General Housing Expense Assistance

Provides help to individuals with develop and to achieve life goals. Offers participants social-emotional support and acts as a bridge in making connections to immediate needs, as well as developing life-changing skills. The program has 3 phases, each phase lasting 60 days. The participant will meet one on one with a Fountain of Youth professional each week to see how they are progressing with their goals and what can be done to help. This program consists of each participant making an individual success plan that pertains to one of the following areas: knowledge of self and others, citizenship, basic life skills, education, health and wellbeing, financial literacy and workplace success. The program is a minimum of 60 days commitment and a maximum of 6 months.

Reverse Mortgage Counseling is available for seniors desiring to stay in their homes by using their equity to produce lump sums for current needs, annuity payments and lines of credit for ongoing needs.
