Shelter location is confidential and not available to the general public. Outreach Services include counseling, court assistance, and public education and presentations. Services also include support groups for victims and survivors in Polk and Warren Counties, and child advocacy services in Polk and Warren Counties.

Crisis Line is answered by a trained domestic violence advocate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Victims of domestic violence or their friends and family members can receive counseling, information, and education about domestic abuse issues.

Provides individual and group crisis management services to adult and child survivors of domestic violence who are not staying in the shelter. Also provides community referrals and advocacy for clients not staying in the shelter. All services are confidential.

Provides help to participants to recognize and understand their abusive behaviors and refrain from engaging them. Through education and support, individuals who have committed acts of domestic violence are taught alternative methods of communicating with their partners and begin to build relationships that allow for open respectful communication and trust.

Classes are offered in Spanish and English, in a group setting.

Offers a crisis line for families and survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse or any other violent crime. A specially trained advocate will answer the crisis line and assist in any matter pertaining to sexual abuse, domestic abuse, or any other violent crime by listening and providing information, support and referrals. The crisis line is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Provides emotional support, individual counseling, support groups and therapy. Offers support and information for significant others, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, children's individual and group counseling, sheltering and housing services, along with general advocacy to help all community systems enhance their response to domestic abuse, sexual abuse or any other violent crime victims.

Offers direct services and advocacy to deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Program provides legal, medical and one-on-one DV/SA counseling. Can also offer community presentations, including cultural sensitivity training about interacting with deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing individuals.

-- Learn to take blame and credit for their actions.

-- Learn non-violent and non-controlling ways of communication.

-- Realize that partner abuse is not an anger management problem.

Offers Partner Abuse Intervention Program, (P.A.I.P.) is most often completed by individuals who have been accused of, or have engaged in, abusive behaviors with a significant other. This program focuses on resolving the root of the problem to help with long term change. Program is designed to help clients unlearn problematic behaviors, and understand why they are problematic, so you can have healthy relationships in the future. Healthy communication, respect, and conflict resolution are focused upon during the program.
