Maintains access to unclaimed or lost financial property, called The Great Iowa Treasure Hunt. The property can be from dormant accounts in financial institutions, insurance companies, trust holdings and utility companies. In addition to money and securities, holdings from safe deposit boxes include such things as watches, jewelry, coins, currency, stamps, historical items and other miscellaneous articles.
Iowa Division of Labor is responsible for enforcement of laws and regulations pertaining to OSHA (Enforcement/Compliance) and OSHA (Consultation and Education), inspection of elevators and escalators, amusement rides, inflatables, wind turbines (towers) and boiler/pressure vessels. The Division of Labor also handles issues dealing with child labor, wage payment and collection, workers, contractor registration, asbestos licensing and licensing of professional boxing/wrestling/mixed martial arts events.

Committed to increasing access to quality health care, ensuring survivors and families are connected with the proper resources, educating healthcare and service providers regarding brain injury, and continuing to increase awareness and understanding of brain injury.

Support groups held around the state of Nebraska and in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Services include:
-- Resource Facilitation: Works collaboratively with individuals and community service providers to develop a support system for individuals living with a brain injury, including but not limited to finding and sharing informational resources, making referrals to service providers, connecting individuals with peer support groups, and providing personalized case management services.

-- Community Education: Works to educate individuals and communities and bring awareness to the impact of brain injury through educational presentations, brain injury training, and awareness campaigns. This includes educating families, communities, and organizations about the unique needs of individuals with brain injuries to help remove the stigma and confusion about brain injury, in additional to teaching ways to prevent or reduce the risk of brain injuries.

-- Advocacy: Advocates for the brain injury community at the state government level by following legislative proceedings and speaking for or against bills as it benefits individuals affected by a brain injury.

Recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) as a qualified immigration legal service provider. All practicing immigration specialists have received extensive education and training in immigration law and have obtained BIA accreditation. An immigration attorney is also available for individuals in removal or deportation proceedings who need representation in Immigration Court.

Offers affordable, quality immigration legal assistance to refugees, immigrants and asylees. Minimal fees for service are charged on a sliding scale.

Services include assistance with family petitions, citizenship, permanent residence, travel documents, Nicaraguan and Central American Relief Act (NACARA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). LFS immigration specialists assist in the entire process from completing the necessary application to representation at the USCIS Naturalization Interview.
