A focus program partnership between Lincoln Public Schools and The Bay, taking a unique approach to serving high school juniors and seniors. Provides creative, entrepreneurial-minded students with the tools, access, and resources to be successful creators.

Keystone Area Education Agency provides support services for families who provide home-based schooling for their children including: assessments and evaluations, access to instructional materials and curriculums, and consultation regarding the educational needs of the children.
For students who need an alternative option because a traditional school may not provide the environment or support necessary to succeed. Focused on students' social and emotional needs while meeting their academic needs. Smaller class sizes allow for blended personalized instruction, resulting in a supportive and flexible in-person learning environment for all students.
Generally serves people residing within the boundaries of the district. No economic restrictions. Ages 5 to 21 years for grades kindergarten through 12th. K-12 students living in contiguous districts may apply for open enrollment to any Des Moines School.

Offers a wide range of programming to meet the needs of youth and adolescents who struggle with behavioral or mental health concerns. Programs are focused on the maximum development and the best outcome of each individual.

No matter what level of care provided, treatment is a personalized experience that is designed to meet the specific strengths, needs, and treatment goals of each individual. Families can choose from a list of services, including comprehensive mental health assessments; outpatient therapy (individual, group, family); psychiatric services including medication management, adolescent intensive outpatient therapy groups; and more.

Programs help children develop coping strategies, self-confidence, and help regulate emotions while they take control of their lives.

Autism services are also available.

Program components include but not limited to behavior modification, educational tutoring, community service activities, tours, employment preparation and social skill development.

Transportation is provided to and from program.
Academy program for high school dropouts, GED and credit recovery ages 15.5-18. Classes start in January and July and run for seventeen months. The first five months are spent in residency at the campus in Rantoul, IL. In a structured quasi-military environment, youth receive GED instruction or credit recovery, self-discipline, life coping skills, computer skills, and career counseling, and they perform community service projects. Post-graduation, cadets return to the community to continue education in a post secondary institution or vocational school, or obtain employment, with the guidance of a mentor from their community. Youth may be eligible to receive a monetary allowance to assist in education or employment costs.

Provides alternative education for children with diverse learning needs.
Day treatment program offers treatment based on each student's individualized educational plan (IEP). Special education services, case management, and interventions are offered to area youth who are at risk of disrupting from their homes of origin and/or being placed in a residential setting.

Provides a holistic education program for students in an alternative setting. Integrated curriculum includes partnerships with the families, the home school, social service agencies, and educational communities to help students find pathways to academic, occupational, and personal success.

Alternative learning setting for students who need more intensive academic/social/emotional intervention or have behavioral issues.

Alternative education curriculum is individualized and self-paced. Students needs are defined by academic, vocational, and social skills goals.

Offers to serve "at risk" students and their families by providing an opportunity for education and guidance through various school-based and community-based programs. Students have the opportunity to earn their diplomas in a timely manner by utilizing an Individualized Educational Plan.

Offers a 17-month life skills program for at-risk adolescents.

- Residential Phase (first 5 months/22 weeks): On campus in Rantoul. Rigorous mental/physical activities, very limited personal time. Includes at least 40 hours of community service activities.

- Post-Resident Phase (last 12 months): Graduates return to their community and work towards completion of their Individual Life Plan, which may include continuing education, volunteering, or seeking employment.

Education includes:

- Credit Recovery.

- GED Class.

- CPR Training.

- Computer Class.

- Food Handler certification.

- Nutrition Class.

Alternative education for grades 9-12.

Provides a development program for youth that offers high school dropouts or Unit 5 transfers the opportunity to earn their high school diploma or GED while learning and becoming certified in residential construction, property maintenance, health care, and information. Program lasts 9-22 months.

Students have the opportunity to earn a scholarship for college or trade school by completing AmeriCorps service hours at a YouthBuild Vocational Site while building or providing maintenance services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families, volunteering in healthcare settings, and assisting with IT needs.

Students may be eligible for a monetary incentive according to the progress they make toward goals. Students' schedules rotate from school to vocational site. Students receive advocacy surrounding their social service needs, training in community leadership, computer training and support, and intensive case management throughout their college careers.

Academic center for students with behavior disorders at the primary and secondary level, grades 1 - 12.

Academic and therapeutic programming for special education students with major mental health diagnoses. Students school utilizes trauma-informed care and pro-active solution approaches.
Educates students with behavioral/emotional conditions who have been unable to maintain traditional school placement. Provides a complete academic curriculum.

Services for parents and children who attend the school include behavior management techniques for children 5-21 years of age, appropriate social and classroom behavior, and parent behavior management skills.

Offers alternative education and evening courses.
Offers alternative High School education services. The alternative education program serves students grades 9-12 who are in need of a non-traditional high school setting and/or in need of a more flexible schedule. Learning is provided predominately through online courses with instructors on site to provide assistance.

Alternative education for students expelled, suspended, or struggling at their regular school. Program options:

- Regional Safe School Program (RSSP): for regular education students who have been disruptive in the education program.

- Options: Safe and secure classroom for students who suffer from anxiety and other non-disciplinary attendance issues.

- FLEX: Late-day program (3:30 pm-8 pm) for at-risk students and those with attendance struggles.
