Offers the following education programs:

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION (ABE): classes designed to help adults brush up on basic skills in small groups at own pace.

HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY EDUCATION: classes prepare students for the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) test and serves as refresher prior to entering college or job market.

ENGLISH LITERACY (EL): classes designed to help adults with limited English skills live to function in the United States.

Serves 11 Central Iowa counties and provides full-time and part-time educational programs up to two years in length in 70 different career education programs, 13 paraprofessional career programs for which college credit is given, a full range of freshman and sophomore college courses, adult and continuing education programs, including career short courses, adult basic education, high school completion for students of post high school age, and many other part-time classes throughout the district.

Veterans Upward Bound programs offer intensive basic skills development and short-term remedial courses for military veterans to help them successfully transition to post-secondary education.
