School supplies assistance program.

Program available in Dawson County and Kearney County.

Provides free school supplies for students.
Offers clothing for students in sizes 3T thru adult XL, as well as personal hygiene and school items.

Every August offers free book bags, school supplies, hamburgers, hotdogs, clothes, crafts, games, etc. Located at Redmond Park.

School Supplies are donated and given to needy students at the beginning of each school year through the Back to School Fair. Pre-registration is required, call or visit the United Way of Mahaska County to register.

Offers school supplies for the children of Adams County entering grades K-12. Registration is in July, with distribution just before school starts.

Offers Back to School Supplies to low income children in each of the 7 counties it serves.
Provides school supplies and pays school fees for children in preschool through 12th grade.

The program services the following schools: Hiawatha, Everest and Horton Schools in Brown County, KS, Highland, Riverside and Troy Schools in Doniphan County, KS, Falls City and Humbolt Schools in Richardson County, NE and Craig, Mound City and South Holt Schools in Holt County, MO.
Provides backpacks and age appropriate school supplies to children in need in Vermilion County.
Provides clothes, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies before the start of the school year. Program available when funding available.

Back-To-School Physicals are provided to K-12 students in need by Des Moines University students, under the supervision of licensed clinicians. Services include physicals, dental screenings, vision testing, and immunizations (as needed). No appointment or insurance required. Vaccines will be available for eligible individuals. Translators available at the event. Free backpacks to all who attend!

Provides free school supplies and book bags in the fall for income eligible students Pre-K through high school in Brown, Pike and Schuyler counties. In some cases fees for extra curricular activities may be covered for income eligible junior and senior high school students.

Contact your local Two Rivers Regional Council office to schedule an appointment for school supplies in July.

School backpack and supply distribution for grades pre-K-12. Proof of school enrollment for each child is required, regardless of location.

For 2025, distribution is Friday, August 8th through Saturday, August 9th at the following locations:

- The Salvation Army Citadel Corps (3738 Cuming Street, Omaha) - August 8th-9th at 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-3 pm, or until supplies have been exhausted. Must visit in person for distribution only; backpacks will be distributed in the gymnasium.

- The Salvation Army Kroc Center (2825 Y Street, Omaha) - August 8th-9th at 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-3 pm, or until supplies have been exhausted. Walk-up distribution only. Enter the Kroc Center campus off of 27th Street (on the east end of the property).

- Westroads Mall (10000 California Street, Omaha) - August 9th at 10 am-1 pm, or until supplies have been exhausted. Drive-thru distribution only. The distribution will take place in the mall's northeast parking lot, just north of JC Penney.

Offers school supplies for students in school.

Back 2 School Bash - July 26, 2025, 10 am-1 pm. Advance registration is required and tickets cost $5 per child (grades K-5). Bash will be held at the Old MacDonald's Farm and have school supplies, activities, and free food, adults can purchase meals. To register, visit cityofcr.com/schoolbash.

Provides funds for a DeWitt County student to attend Richland Community College in Decatur. The student may use the funds for tuition, textbooks, or other costs associated with their education.
