Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD), most common in people over 50 years old, is a medical condition in which arteries in the legs are clogged or narrowed. Health and fitness services offer fitness and health education classes and physical activity programs, conducted for community, church, and social groups. Programs cover the areas of illness and injury prevention, physical activity, nutrition, and mental wellness. Individuals are encouraged to take measures that decrease risk, promote optimum health, and encourage independent living.
