Provides a maternity home (NOT A SHELTER) dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of single pregnant mothers, girls that are not pregnant but have an infant, or girls who are pregnant with another young child (infant) with them. It is a safe haven where they can stay while learning the skills, get basic needs and counseling they need to make a better life for themselves and their babies.

Provides a Christian non-denominational maternity homes for teens who are welcomed in an integrated, family-style home. Applicants go through an interview and board review. This family style intervention allows a mom the opportunity to witness healthy family dynamics and live in a loving, supportive environment. Parents of teens must be willing to provide temporary guardianship. Christian values are taught, and Sunday church attendance is expected.

Outreach Specialists assist uninsured families, children, and pregnant women in obtaining health care coverage and finding a doctor or dentist. Services include answering questions about available insurance options, assisting with completing Hawki or Medicaid applications, advocacy, community referrals, EveryStep Dental Voucher Program for children.

Helping Services for Youth and Families provides professionally trained family educators who serve families with children ages birth to age three. In-home services provided include: Prenatal teaching and support, Certified breastfeeding support, Infant/child weight checks, Child passenger safety, Healthy, safe home environment checklist, Developmental assessments, Vision and hearing screenings, and Resource referral. Outside of the home parent-child play groups are offered providing social and networking opportunities for families. In addition parenting workshops are provided that focus on creating positive environments where a child can use their energy in successful ways and offering interventions tools for parents that are used by teachers in their child's classroom providing greater consistency for the child. Programs are available in English and Spanish.

Services include finding health care coverage, finding a health care provider or dentists, education to promote a healthy pregnancy, evaluate emotional stress and family adjustment to pregnancy and parenting, oral health services, arranging transportation to medical and dental appointments, making doctor appointments, social support and guidance, nutrition education and home visit after delivery of the baby.

Helps to ensure the health of children, birth to 21 years of age in Appanoose, Clarke, Decatur, Jasper, Lucas, Marion, Monroe, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Wayne Counties.
