Health education is integrated into each patient's visit. Nutrition, disease prevention and management are taught to patients individually and in groups. Educational follow-up, care coordination, management and peer education, including care for sexually transmitted diseases, latent tuberculosis, high lead levels, prenatal care, and care for chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and depression).

Specialist referrals for services not available at the clinic are made for all patients. Appointments for patients without insurance and/or limited income are made through Hope Medical Outreach Coalition volunteer physicians and facilities.

Services include free pregnancy testing, care for high-risk pregnancies, prenatal exams and pregnancy care, in-hospital labor and delivery, in-hospital newborn care, ultrasounds, childbirth classes, health benefits enrollment, diagnostic testing, and laboratory testing.

Healthy Pregnancy Program home visits are done by a nurse who can do a physical assessment and check on the baby.

Provides public health services to Clarke County residents, including home care, immunizations, general physicals, and mental health administration. Programs for women and children offer early childhood development and lead poisoning screenings, which include blood tests to identify lead ingestion and home or clinic-based inspections to evaluate lead hazards. Additionally, the department provides environmental health services and information regarding communicable diseases.

Pharmacy services offered to patients. Those eligible for the sliding fee program receive their medications at 30 to 50% below the retail market. Kohl's, Walgreens, Genoa, and Walmart fill all medications. Mobile Medical Clinic services, in which a van visits different locations to see patients.

HIV/STD testing provides confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.

Transportation program provides a limited number of cab vouchers.

Mental health services are provided in-house through a partnership with Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, as well as being referred out to collaborating behavioral health agencies.

Prenatal care for women.

Radiology has certified x-ray technicians to provide limited x-ray services.

Medication assistance programs help uninsured and underinsured patients apply to various pharmaceutical companies. Staff complete applications for patients to obtain their medication at an affordable cost.

Translation services offered to non-English speaking patients. Languages include Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Kurdish, Burmese, Karen, and Thai.

Provides care coordination to families by informing them of available resources regarding their health care needs such as doctor and dental possibilities. EPSDT Care for Kids program, prenatal education services and outreach.

Offers healthcare services for all stages and aspects of a woman’s life. Services include pap smears and screening tests, contraception and family planning, menopause management, and gynecologic surgery (minimally invasive surgery).

Maternal Health provides information about what to expect during pregnancy, including how to deal with physical and emotional changes and advice to prepare for the arrival of the new baby. Can also provide vitamins and help with locating health care providers.

Child and Adolescent Health coordinates free dental services, including screenings and fluoride varnishes. Can also perform blood lead testing and provide information and referrals to health and dental care services in the area, including mental health.
