Offers home health aide services. Allowing clients to continue living at home, including assisted living facilities while receiving medical care. Services include personal care such as showering and bathing, nail care, shaving, oral and denture care, toileting, catheter, and ostomy assistance, exercise “buddy” for range of motion, endurance and wellness, encouraging mobility, including walking with an assistive device, nutrition assistance, including meal preparation and feeding, medication reminders and light housekeeping and chores.

Provides skilled nursing services to persons in their home.

Services provided include

- Home Health Aide: Assists with hygiene care, teaches patients and/or caregivers how to safely bathe and groom the patient, obtains vital signs, looks for abnormalities in skin turgor, and reports any abnormalities.

- Nursing Care: Complicated wound care, IV therapy (including PICC line care and removal), blood testing, staple/suture removal, injections, pre-fill insulin syringes, diabetes education, medication instruction, ostomy and gastrotomy instructions and care, tracheostomy instructions and care, etc.

- Physical therapy.
- Speech therapy.
- Occupational therapy (to re-teach basic living skills).

Provides home healthcare and palliative care for older adults and people living with a serious illness. Services include:

- Ensuring care is matched to goals and priorities.

- Providing counseling and support.

- Facilitating family meetings with healthcare team.

- Educating patients and families about what to expect in the future.

- Communicating and coordinating with healthcare team.

- Recommending management approaches for emotional symptoms and physician coordination.

- Assisting with identification of surrogate decision-maker.

Provides comprehensive, coordinated care and services to patients at home within a 50-mile radius of Ames. In-Home Health Care is typically under a physician's order. Registered nurses are available to provide skilled nursing care and serve as the primary supervisor of other in-home services.

Additionally, trained homemakers may assist with routine household activities such as menu planning, budgeting, shopping, child care, meal preparation, laundry, and general household management, including light housekeeping, to support families affected by illness, disability, or other challenges.

Home health care and hospice services.

Offers integrated solutions designed to support the health and well-being of older adults in their own homes. The focus on well-being is designed to enhance the independence of those served and help them live lives of enhanced purpose and meaning. Services range from short-term rehabilitation to physical therapy.

In-Home Services
From light housekeeping to meal prep to assistance with medications and accompaniment to medical appointments.

Provides public health nursing services. Services include adult health maintenance services for medically needy individuals, home health aides, personal care, homemaker services, adult immunizations, foot care clinics, and communicable disease follow-up.

In home health care services, including skilled nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and home health aides.

Specialized nursing services include IV infusion therapy, wound care, tube feedings, men, orthopedic nursing, and care for people with chronic diseases, such as heart failure, diabetes, or COPD.

Rehabilitation services.

Provides options to help seniors stay in their homes as long as possible.  Meets with families to do in-home assessment to determine what services may be needed.  Services may include help with meals, home delivered meals, handyman services, personal care, transportation or medical or legal issues.  

Provides continuing care services at home that focus on wellness, independence and asset protection. We’re a non-profit organization helping older adults thrive. This is a membership program with monthly fees. Monthly membership fees guarantee at home care services for life. Works to keep the client in the home as long as possible.

Offers nurses, home care aides for personal cares and homemakers for homemaking needs for those who need assistance related to a medical diagnosis which prevents them from being able to manage these functions independently. Health Services no longer provides acute home care services funded by insurances but will provide all similar services as needed to safely assist persons to maintain independence and thus prevent unnecessary institutionalism. PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization offering a complete personal health plan for eligible individuals. Supports living in the client's own home and community for as long as possible.

Participants receive all the care and services covered by Medicare and Medicaid, as authorized by the Interdisciplinary Team, as well as additional medically necessary care and services not covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
