Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association provides services for income-eligible children. Services include: Referrals to community resources and medical or dental care, EPSDT - Care for Kids care coordination and informing, Free lead testing and immunizations for children, Age-specific health education and individual follow-up on health care needs and referrals, Help to access professional dental care, Age-specific oral health education and screening, Dental care coordination services, Referrals to Maternal Health services, Assist with finding transportation, Developmental Screening for children ages 2 months thru 5 years, and Case management for children with identified needs. Clayton County VNA also identifies, coordinates, and provides needed services/referrals for proper growth and development for children 0-3 years with area Early ACCESS Program. The hawk-i Program offers Presumptive eligibility services for Medicaid or hawk-i income eligible children 0-19 who need immediate and temporary health or dental coverage.

Free services and activities also include haircuts, clothing, info on winter safety, info on English classes, police and fire department available, snacks and bottled water, activites and children's books available.

Flu Clinics provide influenza vaccine at clinics throughout Crawford County during the fall season.

Affordable, comprehensive primary health care especially for those with limited resources. Includes general physical exams and immunizations.

Services are provided regardless of ability to pay through a sliding fee discount program. Fees are calculated based on household size and documented annual income. All patients are eligible to apply for the sliding fee discount, even those with insurance.

Dental Clinic offers preventative dental services including: X-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

Pharmacy services offered to patients. Those eligible for the sliding fee program receive their medications at 30 to 50% below the retail market. Kohl's, Walgreens, Genoa, and Walmart fill all medications. Mobile Medical Clinic services, in which a van visits different locations to see patients.

HIV/STD testing provides confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.

Transportation program provides a limited number of cab vouchers.

Mental health services are provided in-house through a partnership with Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, as well as being referred out to collaborating behavioral health agencies.

Prenatal care for women.

Radiology has certified x-ray technicians to provide limited x-ray services.

Medication assistance programs help uninsured and underinsured patients apply to various pharmaceutical companies. Staff complete applications for patients to obtain their medication at an affordable cost.

Translation services offered to non-English speaking patients. Languages include Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Kurdish, Burmese, Karen, and Thai.

This is accomplished through assessment of the health status of the community, policy development and leadership, and assurance that high-quality services are available and accessible to all persons. LLCHD works with city, county, and state government to encourage policies and regulations which promote and protect public health. Divisions include Director's Office, Animal Control, Dental Health and Nutrition Services, Environmental Public Health, Health Promotion and Outreach, Community Health Services, and Health Data and Evaluation.

Epidemiological Services provides leadership in public health assessment; collects, analyzes and disseminates information about community health status; facilitates community health planning and policy development; coordinates epidemiologic response; and provides public health programs and related community initiatives with epidemiologic support for program evaluation, planning and communication needs. The GIS component provides maps to analyze relationships in spatial data to identify high-risk areas.

Resource Information Management serves as a supportive, collaborative partner in a number of community activities.
