Provides health education to the public and to schools. Helps with planning and preparedness for infectious diseases or other public health incidents for the Decatur County area. Offers immunizations to children, adolescents and adults, including the flu vaccine.

Home health care services and home nursing is provided to those in need. Can provide personal care assistance for bathing, hair care, housekeeping and laundry, meal planning and preparation, errands, and waiver services.

Childhood immunizations, flu shots, education and home visits to teen moms, cancer screening on site, child psychologist on site, breastfeeding assistance, smoking cessation for pregnant women, TB treatment, help finding a doctor or dentist, help with finding medication or other care, Every Women Matters Education and Outreach, Denver Developmental Screening, and case management to reduce lead and other hazard exposure.

Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association provides public health nursing services. Services include: Adult Health Maintenance services for medically needy individuals, Home health aides, Personal care, Homemaker services, Adult immunizations, Foot care clinics, and Communicable disease follow-up.

--Immunizations are available for persons of all ages. Red Willow County Health Department accepts private insurance and also has programs for free immunizations for individuals without insurance.

Dental Clinic offers preventative dental services including: X-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

Pharmacy services offered to patients. Those eligible for the sliding fee program receive their medications at 30 to 50% below the retail market. Kohll's, Walgreens, Genoa, and Walmart fill all medications.

Shelter Nursing - Serves as the primary public health provider in all Omaha and Council Bluffs homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, group maternity homes, and youth living on the street. Nursing services include health assessment, education, medication compliance, and management of chronic health conditions and mental and behavioral health. Nurses work with families to address their unique needs by coordinating community resources and accessing medical services to assist with basic healthcare needs, mental health, child safety, and substance and domestic abuse.
