Offers a free career training program, with compensation to start a new career. Students participate in a six-week personal development program focusing on soft skills, computer literacy, effective communication, life skills, overcoming individualized barriers, and more.

Students are met with coaching and career assessment to choose one of eight funded continued short-term education paths. Tracks include medical administration, customer service, information technology, energy, commercial driver (DCL), skilled trades, and more. Once students graduate with their certification, Change Course helps place them into a job that earns $18 or more with upward mobility and benefits.

Ongoing services with students and staff include weekly Family Dinners, coaching sessions, supportive Ally relationships, and more.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT services are designed to provide personalized assistance to individuals with disabilities. Encouragement in independence by helping job-seekers get the skills necessary to find and maintain employment in the community. Program is focused on finding and utilizing individual strengths. Through job coaching and hands-on training, participants learn to understand their abilities and determine which jobs will allow those abilities to shine and go for their full potential.

BENEFITS PLANNING enables beneficiaries with disabilities to make informed choices about going to work also supporting them as they continue progress toward self-sufficiency. Team members will work with beneficiaries to provide in-depth counseling about benefits and the effect of work on those benefits. Education about benefits is provides in order to help beneficiaries attain independence and confidence. Team members counsel beneficiaries on Work Incentive Summary, Benefits Summary and Analysis, PASS plan, Impairment Related Work Expenses (IRWE) and resolve benefits issues.

Northeast Iowa Community College offers an Adult Education program. Services include career assessment, back to school support, job search preparation, informal counseling, exploration of non-traditional careers and referral to community services.

Offers three occupational skills training programs designed to support individuals with barriers to employment.

The Warehouse/Packaging/Logistics Skills Training program is built on the MSSC Certified Logistics Associate certification and includes hands-on experience in a production/warehouse facility.

The Essential Employment Skills Program provides opportunities for veterans to gain experience in the e-waste area.

The Retail Skills Training program leverages the Goodwill retail footprint and is centered around the National Retail Federation's RiseUP certification.

Additionally, the programs incorporate vocational assessment elements, including evaluations of skills, abilities, and interests, as well as opportunities to explore job fit and identify necessary supports for success in various occupational areas.
