Early Childhood Education | Stepping Stones Early Learning Center

Offers a child care center based on a child-centered curriculum with a strong academic emphasis on reading and math. Age specific programs are available to infants (6 weeks-24 months), toddlers (24-36 months), preschoolers (3-5 years) and for school-age children (kindergarten-5th grade). The facility is fully licensed by the Department of Human Services and is accredited with the National Association for the Education of Young Children NAEYC). After School Program | Le Mars YMCA

Provides affordable child care for working parents.

Financial assistance is also available for qualifying familes. Applicants may download a financial assistance application from the website or pick one up at the YMCA front desk. Kids in grades K-6th can register for the After School program.

Kids will receive a healthy snack and participate in supervised activities that keep them active and productive after the school day ends, including swimming on some days.  Kids can walk to the after school program or be dropped off by the Le Mars School Bus Route; the bus arrives at the YMCA's front entrance at 3:45 pm. Children attending the Gehlen After School program can go into their library after the school day ends.

Before and After School Child Care Services | University Community Childcare

Private, non-profit organization providing early childcare and education services for infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children year-round. Before and after school care kindergarten through 5th grade with full day care provided during summer vacations.

Infant Program (Cuddly Cubs) 12 children from six weeks up to 24 months old. There are four full-time teachers in this group with each teacher providing primary care for four babies.

Toddler/2's (Hoppin' Kangaroos) 16 children from 18 months up to 3 years old. There are four full-time teachers in this room with teachers providing primary care for the children.

UCC provides two preschool programs for children ages 3-5 to fit the needs of families. Enrollment is maintained at 16 children in each room.

The Jumpin' Monkey's Mon-Fri 7 am-5:30 pm, year around for children of ISU student, staff and faculty parents.

The Tumblin' Tigers Mon-Fri 7 am-5:30 pm, year around children of ISU student, staff and faculty parents. This program is also a community site of the Ames Public School District's State-Wide Voluntary Preschool program for 4-year-old children.

School Aged Programs | Godley Park District - Community Preschool

Offers before and after school programs. Offering age appropriate activities. 

Also offers extended day programs during selected holidays, scheduled school closings and possibly some emergency closure days. Children do not need to be enrolled in the program year-round to participate in no school days; however, specific DCFS paperwork, including emergency contact information will be required.
