Volunteers, community groups and local businesses donate materials, food, toys and skills for seasonal holiday projects for low-income families. Provides food packages and allowances to purchase clothes, shoes, coats, and household goods.

Projects vary annually and by county office. Community members may contact their county BVCA office for details about local holiday programs.

Provides special meals during the holiday season and helps families in need for holiday season.

For Thanksgiving/Christmas 2024, Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gift distribution programs and dates and times vary by location. Families are encouraged to contact their local office for details.

Provides a seasonal Christmas give-away of food and Christmas presents for children of families in need. Children ages 12 and under receive toys and teens ages 13 through 18 receive a goodie bag.

Offers a Toys for Tots sign ups. Toys for Tot sign-ups held November 1 through December 4, 2024. Can only sign children up that are 14 years old and under. The church will reach back out to registered clients and let them know when and where the pick up will be.

For Christmas 2024:

Registration is open as of October 25 for the Shoe and Mitten Party. The event is held Saturday, December 7th, between 9 am and 1 pm. Location is 3100 West 4th Street, Sioux City.

Provides a Toys for Tots sign up during the holiday season. The program screens each applicant and checks with other organizations in the community to maximize the number of families helped during the holiday season and reduce the number of duplications.

Works in partnership with the US Marine Corp each year to offer the Toys for Tots program. Children must be age 12 or younger and reside in the household.

Community dinner on Thanksgiving Day, usually 11 am-1 pm. Call for information.

Sign up for Christmas food boxes and toys for children starts October 24th. Visit the Salvation Army at 120 South 7th Street. Applicants must bring driver's license and proof of children in their home (insurance cards, Medicaid Cards, school IDs).

Holiday gifts to low-income families in Sarpy County with children ages 0-16. Must be a Sarpy County resident to be eligible for this program.

City of Norwalk Beggar's Night.

Provides 2 to 3 toys for children ages 0-17. To be eligible for registration, a form of ID for every child and photo ID for the parent or legal guardian is required. The following ID's are accepted: Social Security Card preferred, birth certificate, passports, Medicaid or insurance cards, school ID cards, or state issued ID. Parent or legal guardian must be present to register children to receive gifts.

For Christmas 2024:

Opens for online registration starting Nov 1, 2024.

Parents and legal guardians may sign up children (birth-17 years) to receive Christmas gifts. Applicants must be registered to receive Christmas assistance for their children.

For Thanksgiving 2024, a Thanksgiving Meal is offered. This can be picked up in the month of December with the monthly food pantry pick-up.

For Christmas 2024, the Operation Santa program is offered. Parents can pick out gifts for their children (ages birth-18) if they qualify, at a pop-up shop in December (date to be determined; by appointment only).

Visit the office and fill out an application before the deadline in November (date to be determined); parents will then be pre-approved for a time to come and select gifts for their children. Gift options include new and gently used clothing, games, puzzles, etc. Parents also receive a $50 gift card and $50 voucher for each child.
