Community Service Center of Northern Champaign County
Provides food for the entire family at Christmas time and toys for children age 13 and younger. Only available to Northern Champaign County residents. Must provide proof of income for the last 30 days. Proof of address needed for all members of the household (For example, Medicaid card, report card, daycare letter, doctors bill, etc.)
Registration begins November 3-22, 2025, Mon-Fri 10 am-4 pm, Sat 9 am-12 pm. Please visit office and provided necessary documents.
Genoa Food Pantry - Pawnee Senior Center
For Christmas 2025:
Christmas Dinner boxes are offered to those who have received assistance at the Genoa Food Pantry at least one time during the previous 6 months of the current calendar year. The date of distribution is determined each year, usually set for distribution about a week before Christmas.
For Christmas 2025, pre-register by calling Mary Linden at (402) 750-9249 by November 1, 2025.
Mount Hebron Baptist Church
Must register by December 5, 2025, to receive toys.
Offers free clothing, household goods and items, and food to anyone that is looking for some extra help for the holiday. The event will provide a free sit-down meal for the entire family.
Salvation Army - Fremont
Seasonal assistance includes gifts for children and food boxes for families or individuals.
For Christmas 2025, in-person applications are Oct 13 and 14 or November 12 and 13, by appointment only.

Matura Madison Outreach Center
Thanksgiving sign-up starts in Oct - early Nov (once dates are determined). Distribution: Date and time to be determined at the American Legion.
Christmas sign-up is in Oct - early Nov (once dates are determined) (partnering with CRISP - call CRISP 515-462-9400. Households without children can apply through MATURA until (date to be determined). Distribution Date to be determined.
Single Parent Provision
Provides a Single Moms Christmas Dinner on Dec. 6, 2025, at 5 pm at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. Includes a catered meal for single mothers and their children. Activities and programming provided for newborns to age 18. Registration is required and closes December 1, 2025. Mid-Sioux Opportunity Outreach Office - Sioux County
For Thanksgiving/Christmas 2025:
Holiday Food provides special meals during the holiday season.
Holiday Families provides support to families during the holidays, in partnership with community organizations.
Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets are offered through some Mid-Sioux Opportunity outreach offices, as well as Christmas gift distribution programs. Dates and times vary by location. Families are encouraged to contact their local office for details.
H.O.Y.C.E. Center
Offers a Christmas toy program for children ages 0-17. Pre-registration is required, visit website on November 12-December 2nd to sign up, first come first serve. Registering is not a promise of service until confirmation and further instructions are given. Calls may begin as soon as one week after the beginning of registration. Gifts will be given on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 11 am-3 pm.
Matura Adams County Outreach Center
Holiday assistance for 2025 includes Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gifts (for children up to age 18). Baskets are distributed via the MATURA Adams County Outreach Center.

Learning of the Lord Revival Ministries
Offers a Toys for Tots sign ups. Toys for Tot sign-ups held November 1 through December 4, 2025. Can only sign children up that are 14 years old and under. The church will reach back out to registered clients and let them know when and where the pick up will be.
United States Marine Corps Reserve - Toys for Tots
A public charity which raises funds and collects toys/games to be distributed to low income families during the holidays. DONATE CASH OR CHECK: The preferred method for monetary donations is for the individual or business to send a check or money order to the local Toys for Tots Coordinator, made payable to "Toys for Tots" and mailed to: Toys for Tots Coordinator, Marine Corps Reserve Center, Bldg # 47 Dickman Ave., Des Moines IA 50315. Visit the website to find a list of agencies participating in signing up children for Toys for Tots.

Saint Marks United Methodist Church
Offers a Christmas sit down dinner for anyone in need at the church on December 25, 2025, from 12 pm-2 pm or meal delivery from 11 am-1:30 pm. Individuals and families must call and live the area of West of Edgewood Road, north of Williams Boulevard, east of Linn-Benton County line and south of F Avenue for delivery.
Delivered meals will not be left if no one answers the door.

KFOR Operation Santa Claus
Solicits monetary donations to purchase specifically requested toys for less fortunate children in Lincoln, Nebraska, ages 1-13 for Christmas.
Works with social service agencies in Lincoln, Nebraska to qualify families.
The National Guard provides volunteers to help sort applications and distribute toys.
Sarpy County Holiday Assistance Program
For Christmas 2025:
Families who live in Sarpy County with children (ages 0 to 14) who meet low-income guidelines can apply for assistance with receiving new toys for their children.
Applications will be accepted at the three locations listed below. If unable to visit those locations, applicants may contact Tandra at (402) 593-2347 to schedule an appointment for their application.
No walk-ins are permitted; appointments are required throughout November (from Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm). The address for completing an application will be provided when making an appointment.
2025 Registration Locations:
- First Baptist Church (Do not call church for information) - 112 East 23rd Avenue, Bellevue. Thu, Nov 6, from 12 pm-6 pm.
- St. Columbkille Church (Do not call church for information) - Sacred Heart Center, 542 North Jefferson Street, Papillion. Tue, Nov 4, from 9 am-3 pm.
- Bellevue Christian Center (Do not call church for information) - 1400 Harvell Drive, Bellevue. Sat, Nov 1, from 9 am-1 pm.
Documentation required:
- Photo ID for head of household (person applying).
- Proof of address in Sarpy County, dated within the last 30 days; current utility bill preferred (OPPD, MUD, Black Hills Energy), or letter from Nebraska DHHS.
- Proof of ages of children (must have at least 1 child age 14 or under living in the household): children’s birth certificates, or current Medicaid card (with birth date), or school enrollment forms.
- Proof of total household income: pay stubs for last 30 days, or Social Security 2025 Benefits Letter, or unemployment letter, or Nebraska DHHS Economic Assistance/Medicaid eligibility letter.
Applicants will know on registration day if they are approved.
