Thanksgiving program provides a food box.

For Thanksgiving 2025, in-person sign-ups are by appointment only. No more requests will be received after October 25.

Applicants must bring photo ID for all adults in the household, proof of birth date for each child, proof of address (current utility bill, mail, etc), proof of all household income. Applicants must apply at one agency only. (Salvation Army compares applicant lists with other agencies.)

For Christmas 2025, the Christmas program offers food boxes for families and/or toys for children; programs are for children ages 0-15 and seniors age 65+.

Provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Both meals are open to anyone in need. Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day, 11 am-1 pm, Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Pre-registration is required. Thanksgiving 2025

Provides a Thanksgiving meal to anyone in need. The facility is handicapped accessible, but meals can be delivered to individuals who cannot make it to the restaurant for pick-up (open to anyone). Orders must be called in and are taken until the day before Thanksgiving or they run out. Deliveries are only made to these zip codes: 50009, 50309, 50310, 50311, 50312, 50313, 50314, 50315, 50316, 50317, 50265, 50320, 50321, 50322 and 50324. Limit of eight meals per household. Carry-out orders are available and can be picked up on Thanksgiving Day between the hours of 11 am-2 pm. Must be present for the delivery. Deliveries will be dropped off Thanksgiving starting between 9:30 am-10 am. Delivery time can't be determined.

**Answering service will ask for name, address, zip code, phone number, and the number of meals needed. *DO NOT CALL THE RESTAURANT, THEY CANNOT HELP WITH DELIVERY OR PASS ON MESSAGES.

Thanksgiving Food Boxes for low-income households in Otoe County who need extra help with groceries. Basic food items for a Thanksgiving dinner are provided.

Thanksgiving and Christmas 2025:

Sign-up for Thanksgiving food box, Christmas food box, and Christmas gifts (for qualifying children) takes place in October only.  Starts Oct 1, 2025, and ends Oct 30, 2025.

Applicants must bring documentation identifying each member of the household.

Proof of Richardson County residency is required; no paperwork otherwise.

Provides 1 pantry per household.

Available at SENCA's Richardson County Outreach Office (Richardson County Courthouse, Room 101 - Falls City).

Provides a Toys for Tots sign up option for those needing help with Christmas gifts. Children must be under the age of 14 to participate. Visit the Angel Tree website to sign up: https://saangeltree.org/

Provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for families unable to create a meal themselves. There are two options for a meal - a homemade meal offered at the facility on the holiday or, can provide a Christmas dinner box to struggling families. Each box feeds a family of six and includes meat, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, biscuits, cake mix and more.

Holiday assistance includes Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas food, and gifts for children through 12 years old. Contact the Taylor County Matura office for more information. 

Delivers a Thanksgiving meal to older adults ages 60 and older.

Individuals must order meals by November 19, 2025.

Sign up for Christmas food boxes and toys for children before December 1, 2025. Visit the Salvation Army at 120 South 7th Street. Applicants must bring driver's license and proof of children in their home (insurance cards, Medicaid Cards, school IDs). Christmas food baskets/toys handed out on December 20, 2025, to those that registered.

Thanksgiving sign-up starts in Oct - early Nov (once dates are determined). Distribution: Date and time to be determined at the American Legion.

Christmas sign-up is in Oct - early Nov (once dates are determined) (partnering with CRISP - call CRISP 515-462-9400. Households without children can apply through MATURA until (date to be determined). Distribution Date to be determined.

Provides holiday meals to individuals and families that visit the Henderson County Food Pantry. Call in advance to set up a meal. 

Thanksgiving community meal, served Nov 26, 2025, 11:30 am-1 pm. No registration is required; this is a sit-down, in-person meal.

Christmas assistance/toys and ham (in partnership with Toys for Tots). Registration open Oct 20-Nov 21, 2025. Sign up online at sacedarrapids.org, click on Holiday Assistance. Call for (319) 364-9131 for assistance if unable to do this. Households with children ages newborn up to 14 (on 12/25) can sign up for toys and a ham. Households without children eligible for toys can sign up for a ham.

Christmas community meal, served Dec 19, 2025, 11:30 am-1:30 pm. No registration required; this is a sit-down, in-person meal.

Provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the year. Special holiday meals are offered at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Breakfast Mon-Sun: 7:30 am, Lunch Mon-Sun: 11:30 am, Dinner Mon-Sun: 5 pm, at chapel.

Thanksgiving Meal Wednesday before Thanksgiving: 12 pm.

Christmas Meal Christmas Eve Day 12 pm.

Easter Meal Easter Sunday: 12 pm.

Drive-thru-only pantry held two Saturdays each month, and a pop-up outdoor pantry each Monday (food only). Offers perishable and non-perishable items, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, diapers, and laundry detergent washing sheets for 20 loads of laundry.

For Thanksgiving 2025, Thanksgiving pantry is Thu, Nov 20, starting 10 am.

For Christmas 2025, Christmas pantry is Mon, Dec 22, starting 11 am.

Providing a Thanksgiving community meal for Champaign County residents. Meal is hosted at the Washington Square Apartments in the community room on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 pm-5 pm. 

2026 Information:

Registration during regular food pantry hours (Mon, Wed, Fri 9 am-11:30 am, 3rd Wed only afternoon pantry 2:30 pm-5 pm) beginning October 2, 2026, until all slots are filled. Choose a Thanksgiving or Christmas basket.
