Thanksgiving 2025

Providing free turkeys to individuals and families who visit and shop at the food pantry during the month of November. Turkeys will only be available for those actively shopping for groceries at the pantry - walk-ins requesting only a turkey will not be eligible. First come first serve basis.

Holiday hours: Pantry will close Wed at 12 pm, Nov 26, 2025, and re-open Dec 1, 2025, Mon 9:30 am.


For Thanksgiving 2025, the free community meal is held Thursday, November 27, from 11 am-2 pm.

Provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Both meals are open to anyone in need.

Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day, 11 am-1 pm, Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Pre-registration is required. Registration will be taken on November 1st, 2025. Call the church office for details.

Christmas Day dinner on Christmas Day, 11 am-1 pm, Thursday, Dec 25, 2025. Pre-registration is required. Registration will open on December 1st, 2025. Call the church office for details.

Distributes shopping bags filled with all the fixings needed for a complete Thanksgiving dinner to families with financial need in the community, including a gift card to buy a Turkey at Walmart.

For Thanksgiving 2025, the Meal Bag Giveaway is held on Saturday, November 22nd, from 8 am until supplies run out. The event is located at the FaithWorks Pantry, South Entrance, at FaithWestwood.

Provides one Meal Bag per household. Recipient must be present to receive a bag (no proxies). Bags are given out on a first come-first serve basis, so it is recommended to arrive early.

Offering a thanksgiving community meal on Thanksgiving Day 11 am-1 pm.

Christmas 2025

Offering Christmas assistance through the angel tree program, for registering in person must visit main office on November 4th, 5th, and 6th. May register online on November 13th.

To register, you will need to bring: photo I.D. and social security card for head of household, and social security card for household members ages 13 and older, birth certificates for each child ages 0-12; current piece of mail from the last 30 days proving they live in Jasper County and a working phone number. Christmas food and toy distribution are for families with children from newborn to 12 years old

For Thanksgiving 2025:

Offers a free meal delivered to older adults, 60 years of age or older (homebound or alone) on Thanksgiving Day. Meal consists of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and more.

Reservations accepted Nov 3 to Nov 20, 2025.

Callers must speak with someone to make a reservation; no voice messages will be accepted. Phone lines are open on weekdays from 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-4 pm.

Meal deliver occurs on Thanksgiving dinner. Applicant must be home to receive the meal (no meals will be left at the door).

Specific delivery times cannot be scheduled. Cannot feed families.

Thanksgiving food basket program. Provides $35 voucher to purchase Thanksgiving food at Save A Lot grocery store. The applicant will be given a voucher at the time they apply.

Sign up for Christmas food boxes and toys for children before December 1, 2025. Visit the Salvation Army at 120 South 7th Street. Applicants must bring driver's license and proof of children in their home (insurance cards, Medicaid Cards, school IDs).

Thanksgiving Dinner will be provided Thursday, November 27, 2025., 12 pm-1:30 pm at Community of Christ Church, 140 West Kanesville Blvd.


Meals are available for eat-in or delivery by reservation only. Available to Council Bluffs and local Iowa residents.

Thanksgiving 2025

Provides a Thanksgiving meal to anyone in need. The facility is handicapped accessible, but meals can be delivered to individuals who cannot make it to the restaurant for pick-up (open to anyone). Orders must be called in and are taken until the day before Thanksgiving or they run out.

Deliveries are only made to these zip codes: 50009, 50309, 50310, 50311, 50312, 50313, 50314, 50315, 50316, 50317, 50265, 50320, 50321, 50322 and 50324. Limit of eight meals per household.

Carry-out orders are available and can be picked up on Thanksgiving Day between the hours of 11 am-2 pm. Must be present for the delivery. Deliveries will be dropped off Thanksgiving starting between 9:30 am-10 am. Delivery time can't be determined.

Offering a drive-thru Thanksgiving and Christmas meal. Then a food basket is offered after the meal, generally distributed the Friday before the holidays. Please call ahead for information on meals.

Providing a Thanksgiving community meal for Champaign County residents. Meal is hosted at the Washington Square Apartments in the community room on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 pm-5 pm.

Thanksgiving Assistance 2025 - Meal vouchers will be given for Thanksgiving 2025. Must visit in person for services, first come first serve basis. Decatur County may accept up to 60 individuals. Wayne County may accept up to 25 individuals.

2025 Information:

Offers Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day meals at Crossroads Mission Avenue. Meals start at 1 pm.

Offers Thanksgiving dinners to individuals in need who do not have a place to go and would like to spend time with others within the community. No reservations are required to attend the dinner.

For Thanksgiving 2025:

A free Thanksgiving meal from the MLK Center is offered to the entire Quad Cities community.

Fri, Nov 21st, 12 pm-5 pm (drive-through only).

Sat, Nov 22nd, 11 am-5 pm (drive-through and 25 meal minimum delivery).

Sun, Nov 23rd, 12 pm-4 pm (dine-in only).

For meals, arrive in the parking lot and tell staff how many meals are needed. Meals include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce and dessert.

Curbside service is available at the MLK Center while supplies last.
