Delivers a Thanksgiving meal to older adults ages 60 and older.

Individuals must order meals by November 19, 2024.

Provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Both meals are open to anyone in need.

Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day, 11 am-1 pm, Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Pre-registration is required. Registration will be taken on November 1st, 2025. Call the church office for details.

Thanksgiving Food Boxes for low-income households in Otoe County who need extra help with groceries. Basic food items for a Thanksgiving dinner are provided.

Offering thanksgiving baskets for families in need on Monday, November 24th, 2025, during regular hours as supplies last. Baskets include a turkey, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, sweet potatoes, pie, green beans, and a roasting pan. Donations of any amount are appreciated.

For Thanksgiving 2025, the free community meal is held Thursday, November 27, from 11 am-2 pm.

Providing a Thanksgiving community meal for Champaign County residents. Meal is hosted at the Washington Square Apartments in the community room on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 pm-5 pm. 

2026 YouthHope Holiday Food Baskets

Holiday Food Basket Application begin October 1, 2026. Holiday baskets include holiday meal food items and a grocery gift certificate. Baskets are limited. Clients who apply for a food basket from another agency are not eligible. First-come, first-served. Basket recipients will receive a basket pick-up card at the time of application with details.

Application must be completed in-person during Food Pantry hours: Monday & Friday 9 am-12 pm. Families may select either Thanksgiving OR Christmas while supplies last. Please one ONE basket per family per year.

THANKSGIVING: Offering Thanksgiving baskets to individuals that shop at the pantry during regular working hours starting November 10th, 2025, cannot guarantee on ham, turkey, chicken, assistance is first come first serve, no pre-registration required

Offers seasonal services, including holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas, with gift cards for turkey, holiday toys and gifts as supplies last, Easter baskets for youth, and Back-to-school supplies and backpacks for students in August.

2025 Holiday assistance includes Adopt A Child/Family and Christmas Baskets. Baskets are distributed at the Adair County Matura Outreach Center. Gifts are for children through 10 years old.

Thanksgiving assistance - Offering a turkey giveaway on November 22nd, 2025, at 11 am-1 pm. Open to Dubuque County residents only. Individuals can register on-site the day of the giveaway to receive one free turkey per household.

Christmas assistance - To register for the Toys for Tots 2025 program visit website or in person to register. Open to children ages 14 and under. Registration will remain open until all time slots are full.

The Official Toys for Tots toy distribution site will be at the Multicultural Family Center, 1157 Central Ave.

Thanksgiving orders for in-home meal delivery are from Nov 3rd - Nov 19th, 2025 at 4:30 pm or until capacity is reached. Call (515) 265-4277 or sign up at www.hopeiowa.org. Christmas meal 2025 home delivery can be reserved by calling (515) 265-4277 or online at hopiowa.org. Orders will be taken form Dec 1st ,2025 - Dec 17th, 2025 at 4 pm or until full. Christmas meals are delivered to Altoona, Clive, Des Moines, Johnston, Pleasant Hill, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.
