- Elective reconstruction or remodeling projects.

- Redecorating projects or unnecessary aesthetic changes.

Home Repair Program | East Central Intergovernmental Association

Provides a program that makes health and safety improvements to homes to those that income qualify. There are several programs that a homeowner or renter can participate in, including a program to assist families with young children. Homes built before 1978 pose a risk of lead paint and our Lead Paint and Healthy Homes program makes the home lead safe while also making other improvements.

Exterior house painting for homeowners 60 years of age or older or Immigrant and Refugee families. Restrictions include houses no larger than two stories, must be structurally sound, and not in need of major repairs.

Applications are available from January to May. Prep work will happen during July and a volunteer team will paint on a Friday or Saturday in mid-August.

Small home repairs for the elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals of Shelby County.

Call for assistance on a specific job and make an appointment for SCCO to evaluate the project, gather the needed supplies, and perform the work.

Service calls usually last between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the number and type of jobs being worked on.

Homeowners are responsible for the cost of materials, while the labor is provided on a donation basis.

Material costs are covered by no interest loans to the homeowner.

Offers to help homeowners with disabilities or those who are 62 years of age or older with home repairs to help to make homes safe. Home Repair and Accessibility Program | Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency

Provides home rehabilitation assistance for single family homeowner occupied residents when grant funding is available through IDHA. Mobile homes are not eligible for this program. Each application is seen on a case by case basis. Measures will be done based on needs identified in the home inspection/assessment. The focus is on code, health, safety, and lead paint issues first. Neighborhood Programs Division | City of Champaign

Provides home improvement grants and/or low interest loans to repair deteriorated dwellings. Programs include:

- Minor Home Repair Program: provides grants and forgivable deferred payment loans to correct housing deficiencies of an immediate nature which threaten the health or safety of the occupant of the home or the structural integrity of the building.


- Home Accessibility Retrofit Program: provides grants or loans to eliminate barriers, modify the layout, or add structural accessories/improvements to the dwelling to make it more accessible for occupants with disabilities. May also be used to make "visibility" modification to dwelling units to allow immediate family members with disabilities to visit the subject property.


- Accessory Structure Demolition Program: provides grants or forgivable deferred loans for homeowners to demolish unsafe structures on their property.


- Residential Exterior Rehabilitation Program: provides a 50/50 matching grant or 0% interest loan to repair and bring up to code the living structure.

Emergency Home Repair | Polk County Iowa Offices

Provides emergency repairs for eligible low income families throughout Polk County. Families with incomes equal to or below 80% of MFI may call to apply for assistance. Property must be assessed for less than $200,000. Families may apply for emergency assistance more than once, until the maximum limit has been reached. Maximum amount is 20% of the homes assessed value up to $12,000.

Community Partners Response | Buffalo County Community Partners

Connects youth and families with resources and support. Navigators have the ability to “fill gaps”, either through helping agencies partner around a common goal, or through flexible funding for needs such as rent, utilities, and more.

Community Response is designed to reduce unnecessary involvement of child welfare and juvenile justice while increasing the informal and community supports for youth and families. By utilizing Central Navigation, the goal is to coordinate existing resources and match participants with a resource to either solve an immediate need or develop a longer-term coaching relationship.
