Matches eligible residents with volunteers who can help clear snow during the winter. Typically aims for assistance within 48 hours, beginning the morning following a snow event of 2 inches or more.

Offers many recreation and enrichment programs and services.

- Drop in program, luncheons, holiday parties, exercise classes, and computer classes.

- Lawn Mowing and Snow Shoveling Program: Senior and disabled residents with standard yard size may qualify for the lawn-mowing and snow removal.

- Ride in Kane: Eligible residents are offered subsidized curb-to-curb transportation available all day and night, year-round.

Offers snow removal services to seniors, ages 65 and over, and to the disabled with special needs. The service is only offered to those that have no family or neighbors to help. If 3 inches or more of snow is predicted to fall, a path from the driveway to the street will be provided. This is for single family homes only, no alleys, no alley skirts to garage and no backyards.

Residential Snow Shoveling

Seasonal assistance with outdoor household activities for eligible Batavia residents who are unable to afford assistance with these tasks.

Services currently available:

- Leaf Raking - In early Nov, volunteers are available to rake leaves to the curb for city pick up (must call to register).

- Snow Removal - From Dec-March, volunteers will shovel driveways and walkways for registered residents (must register in advance).

Offers a snow removal service provided at no cost to senior citizens (age 65 and older) whose annual household income is less than 300% of federal poverty guidelines and disabled residents whose annual household income is less than 300% of federal poverty guidelines. Contractors will remove snow accumulations of 2" or more at the cities discretion.

Offers home maintenance repairs for elderly homeowners. Including, but not limited to snow removal, lawn mowing, small home repairs, roof repairs, carpentry/electrical/plumbing projects and wheel chair ramps.
