Primary focus is on children's needs and parent behavior. A class of this type is required for both parties in dissolution of marriage. Classes are currently offered online.

Weekly group meetings in Spanish for moms with children from birth to 5 years of age. Topics range from child development to those that address the unique needs of the Spanish speaking community. Transportation, on-site childcare, and a free meal are provided.
Uses the Creative Curriculum to serve ages 6 weeks-5 years through a licensed and curriculum based program with developmental screening and family connection nights.

People Place offers family programming for parents of children age(s) 0-5 twice a week. Parents are welcome to bring their children and drop them off in our child care room, while they either take a break in the parent room, attend one of our guest speakers, or chat with our parent educators or other parents about child development. A nightly parenting class is also offered during the fall and spring that meets DHS requirements.
Foster care and emergency foster care. Respite care for children in foster care or with natural parents. Home studies for prospective foster and relative placements for children.

Family Support / Community Treatment Aide helps parents create a healthy and positive home environment. Ensures proper care, safety and guidance of children, creates alternative support systems, and achieves self-sufficiency. Specialists usually meet with parent, youth or the entire family in their home, school or community setting to provide education, assistance, crisis intervention and support.

Parent Assist Service assists parents with 'at risk' youth by educating them on how to set rules, expectations and consequences and by providing them with information to additional resources.

Expectant/New Parent Assistance
Self-Sufficiency - The self-sufficiency program provides voluntary home visitation services to parents and kinship caregivers. The program provides flexible one-on-one services to help clients make progress towards personal goals and access resources to meet identified needs.

Home Visiting Services - The Healthy Families America program serves low-income pregnant women, age 19 and older, living in Douglas County, while the Young Parent Support Program serves pregnant and parenting teens, and young adults ages 25 and younger, residing anywhere within the Omaha-metro area, including Bellevue and Council Bluffs.

Within the home visitation programs, a trained Family Resource Specialist (FRS) provides weekly home visits where parents learn about the development of their child, from before birth through their fifth birthday. The specialist will also support each family's goals and connect them with resources in the community to meet their needs.
