Offers public parks for recreational use. Many parks offer trails for hiking or biking where available, playgrounds, picnic shelters and space for various outdoor activities.
Offers programs for all ages which include aquatics, sports, social/cultural, wellness, instructional, and special events. Also responsible for maintaining the various city parks, SCORE Recreation/Athletic Complex, Fawcett Family Aquatic Center, Pavilion, and Cemetery.

Waukon City Park offers horseshoe courts; outdoor swimming pool; sand volleyball courts; 4 large and 5 small shelters with grills, additional grills located throughout the park; three small playgrounds and 1 large playground (Hideaway Park); campground with facilities; hikers trail; and fishing pond. Depending on the weather, an ice skating rink will be open is located at the park for use.

Provides and maintains a 25 acre park in Elburn with a club house, playground, and baseball and softball fields. Banquet hall and pavilion are available to rent. The Club also has collection sites for glasses and hearing aids for donation in coordination with the Lions in Illinois Foundation.

Provides park and recreational services to the residents of Ames. The Department manages 40 parks and offers almost 200 programs and activities throughout the year. The Recreation Division offers instruction in various sports as well as youth sports camps, outdoor aquatic centers and spray grounds. Red Cross swimming instruction is also available at some facilities. GRASP card offers discounts to low income families (up to 50% off).
