The Park and Recreation Department offers a number of recreational programs for all ages in the City of Decorah. Programs include baseball, basketball, biking, bowling, canoeing, fishing, flag football, golf, ice skating, open gyms, skiing, soccer, softball, tae kwon do, t-ball, track and field, volleyball, and youth day camps.

Provides park and recreational services to the residents of Ames. The Department manages 40 parks and offers almost 200 programs and activities throughout the year. Programs include swim lessons, fitness and wellness classes, youth and adult sports, and more. - MAP: Payment assistance for prescription medication co-pays and deductibles, annual stipend for dental services and hearing aid battery replacements.

Waukon City Park offers horseshoe courts; outdoor swimming pool; sand volleyball courts; 4 large and 5 small shelters with grills, additional grills located throughout the park; three small playgrounds and 1 large playground (Hideaway Park); campground with facilities; hikers trail; and fishing pond. Depending on the weather, an ice skating rink will be open is located at the park for use.
