Winneshiek Medical Center offers a safe and confidential grief support that is facilitated by a Licensed Master Social Worker. The support group is offered in six week intervals and registration is required. It provides support, education on grief and bereavement, coping skills, self-care, what to expect, what is normal, and reassurance that everything can be okay.

Grief Support offered through Gundersen Palmer Lutheran is an 8-week structured program with some audiovisual presentations. Each session covers the following topics: symptoms, the process of grieving, how to better resolve emotions, coping strategies, stress relaxation, and other related issues.

Provides a private and safe space for anyone who identifies as a survivor of mass violence.

This is a group where members can obtain resources/support and openly share thoughts and comments with others. Includes trained peer supporters who are available for confidential discussions via Facebook Messenger and Wall-Posts. Offers 24/7 crisis support through affiliated crisis center via crisis support over Messenger.

Provides end-of-life care for patients and support for their family members and caregivers. Care emphasis on pain and symptom management.

Offers grief support opportunities provided at no cost for anyone in the community. Services include: Amanda the Panda program's grief camps (program listed separately), monthly or quarterly support groups, eight-week educational support groups, memorial gatherings, family nights, peer support and mailed resources. Events and support groups are hosted at EveryStep Hospice locations in eight Iowa communities and at the EveryStep Grief and Loss Services office (home of Amanda the Panda) in West Des Moines. Bereavement counselors are available to meet with families or visit by phone throughout the first year following a hospice patient's death. The counselor can provide families with information or simply lend a friendly ear.

Support group and video seminar for those who are grieving the loss of someone close to them. Each session includes a video seminar featuring experts on grief and recovery subjects and the real-life stories of people who have experienced similar losses. Participants are able to interact with others who have experienced a loss and to share their own experience as well. Class sessions are usually held twice yearly and starting dates vary from year to year.

GriefShare is a 13-week nationally recognized support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one offered periodically throughout the year.

Provides support for individuals mourning the loss of a loved one. Services include bereavement counseling, social workers support, grief support groups, educational programs, and memorial gatherings.

Hospice care is provided for people of all ages with all diagnoses during the final stage of their life with routine home care, respite care or inpatient care. Cost of these services are covered by Medicare and Medicaid and may also be covered by private insurance, depending on the individual's policy. Daily Room and Board rate is not covered by Medicare or Medicaid and is private pay.

Taylor Hospice House offers a facility with 12 beds and has an RN on duty 24 hours a day for those wanting or needing inpatient hospice care services.

Provides various activities for seniors centered around health and fitness, nutrition, education, support groups and recreational activities such as cards, games, arts and crafts.
Chastity education provides a time set aside for mothers and daughters or fathers and sons to explore human fertility and the wonder of growing up. Call for upcoming program dates and locations.

Fertility Care Center provides the Creighton Model-Ovulation Method of natural family planning. The course consists of one group introductory session and eight individual follow-up sessions during the first year of learning and application.

Healing Hearts support group to help adults who grieve a recent death in the family. Individual grief outreach extends to families who have lost an infant through miscarriage, stillbirth, or SIDS.

Marriage Encounter weekend retreat to strengthen the marriage relationship.

Retrouvaille, a weekend experience with follow-up sessions for troubled marriages.
