Designed to help women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer navigate through the complex and sometimes frightening journey of contending with their diagnoses. The meetings are intended to provide a safe place for breast cancer patients to share information, experiences and camaraderie. An oncology nurse navigator and social worker facilitate the meetings.
Peer-to-peer program connects newly diagnosed patients and their families with trained volunteers who have experienced blood cancer firsthand and understand the process.

Provides a support group for laryngectomees (persons with no vocal cords) and their spouses, family, and friends in an informational and social format. Individuals undergoing the operation may also benefit from attending. Meet at the Urbandale Public Library (3520 86th Street, Urbandale, IA).

Offers a cancer support group that gathers to pray for and support anyone with cancer, whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, or finished with treatment.

Provides a grief support group that is open to those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The participants gather to share feelings and common experiences and also to support and pray for one another.

Offers a Women Survivors of Sexual Abuse Support Group. This group is open to women who are currently or have in the past been sexually abused. It could be a one-time occurrence or have happened multiple times. They meet to offer support, do book studies, listen to occasional speakers, and pray for one another.

Support group meetings held the first Sunday of each month March-November (except for holiday weekends, when meetings are on the second Sunday). Meetings are primarily offered on Zoom and occasionally in person.

The Family Resource Center offers a Cancer Support Group on the 1st Thursday each month from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The group is open to anyone with cancer and meets at the Family Resource Center.
