Support for Mothers | Moms of Hastings

Strives to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through adult, celebrating the joys of motherhood and encouraging each other through the challenges.

A devotion and prayer is offered at each meeting. Meetings consist of speakers, crafts, and games but primarily focus on fellowship. Childcare is available but mothers are welcome to bring their children into the meeting if they prefer.

Provides a place to bring their child(ren) to a safe, fun, and developmentally-appropriate program led by caring adults. This allows single parents to enjoy several hours of uninterrupted time (support) for running errands, studying, or simply having some alone time.

Home provision for single parents offers minor handyman services, such as furniture assembly or removal, installation and or repair of towel bars, light switch covers door handles, and minor patchwork and painting.

Breastfeeding Education and Support - Quad Cities Area | La Leche League International

Offers support and education groups that cover the advantages of breastfeeding, how to breastfeed, starting solids, childbirth, and weaning. Groups meet monthly, and meetings last about 90 minutes. Accredited leaders also provide breastfeeding information by phone.

Meeting Information:

- Day meeting - Held the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am, at St. John's United Methodist Church (109 West 14th Street, Davenport, in the upstairs children's room).

- Night meeting - Held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 pm, at UnityPoint Hospital, Bettendorf (Room 2224); dads are welcome at this meeting.
