Provides affordable services and activities to all youth.
Offers youth development programs for youth between the ages of 5-18. The Club is open to all youth, but has a special concern for young people that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Club programs are divided into five key service areas including; Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports and Recreation. (The Boys & Girls Club is not available as a daycare center).

After School Hours:
K-5th Mon-Fri, 2:30 pm-6 pm, 6th-12th 3 pm-7 pm;
All Day Club (when school is out), K-5th Mon-Fri 7:30 am-6 pm, 6th-12th Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5:30 pm

**Construction has begun at 210 S. 5th St. location in Ames. All Ames Club services will resume at the Ames Center Gymnasium at 1323 Northwestern Avenue (the north side of campus) starting Monday April 1, 2024.

BE REAL Academy, Building and Enhancing Relationships, Enriching Academics and Learning.
Designed for middle school students ages 13-16. Program focuses on developing literacy skills, social/emotional learning, and the important academic and life transitions middle school students experience as they transition to high school. BE REAL also creates opportunities for parent and student engagement.
