Mental Health Services | Central Iowa Trauma Recovery Center

Provides intensive psychotherapy that is centered on a trauma-informed model. CITRC clinicians will integrate therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Individual and Group Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in decreasing the level of disturbance associated with their traumatic experiences. The primary goal is to reduce post-trauma anxiety and depression, to enhance and develop healthy coping skill and increase awareness of risk factors associated with re-traumatization.

Stepping Stones | YWCA McLean County

Offers 24/7 support to survivors of sexual assault and abuse, as well as their families, 365 days a year. Provides free, confidential services dedicated to empowering survivors of sexual assault and guiding them on their path to healing. Services include counseling, medical and legal advocacy, prevention and professional education programs, and child sexual assault prevention initiatives that aim to protect children from molestation and other forms of sexual assault. These initiatives focus on teaching children about personal boundaries, recognizing inappropriate behavior, and encouraging them to report incidents of assault or uncomfortable situations.

Polk County Crisis and Advocacy Services | Polk County Iowa Offices

A division of the Polk County Department of Community, Family and Youth Services that provides assistance to victims of crimes and includes the following programs: Violent/Personal Crime Assistance Program; Rape/Sexual Assault Care Center; Child Sexual Abuse Resource Coalition (C-SARC); Intra-Family Sexual Abuse Program (IFSAP) and Volunteer Program.

SART - Mid-Iowa Sexual Assault Response Team - assists in sexual assault cases to aid the victim. The purpose of SART is to provide quality, compassionate and consistent care to victims of sexual assault. Free service.

COPING AFTER SUICIDE support group for families and/or friends of suicide victims

FREE COUNSELING and advocacy services for anyone affected by a violent crime or sexual assault (children and adults).

CASE COORDIANTION provided for Child Sexual Abuse Resource Coalition (C-SARC) and Intra-Family Sexual Abuse Program (IFSAP) cases. Volunteers and interns are trained to assist victims by providing crisis intervention, court advocacy, phone counseling and support group facilitation.

VIOLENT CRIME ASSISTANCE PROGRAM provides crisis intervention for victims, witnesses and their families in cases who have suffered emotional or physical trauma resulting from violent crimes. Purpose is to assist the victims and their families through support, counseling, advocacy, and agency liaison; as well as assisting the criminal justice system by helping the victim to become a good witness. Case Management | Kankakee Forgives

Case management services for victims of gun violence and their families, as well as for perpetrators of gun violence and their families.

- Counseling Referrals: Case Managers will assist in finding appropriate referrals to providers in the community for both individual and group therapy.

- Community Resource Referrals: Case Managers will help clients navigate and understand available community resources, including food, clothing, housing, partner social service agencies, etc.
