Protection order assistance, criminal justice/legal advocacy, and medical advocacy are also available to those who may need it.

These initiatives focus on teaching children about personal boundaries, recognizing inappropriate behavior, and encouraging them to report incidents of assault or uncomfortable situations.

Provides support, empowerment, and recovery to survivors of sexual violence (and the people that love them). Counselors assist in the process of recognizing how sexual violence has impacted the survivor's feelings, relationships, self-esteem, and ability to function while working with them to find healing.

Survivors may choose to receive individual, family, couple, and/or group counseling. In addition, support groups are offered to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, teens, and parents.

Offers intervention services that include art therapy, CBT, DBT skills, play therapy, TF-CBT, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions. Services work to help treat trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, conduct problems, ADHD, and behavioral issues, grief/bereavement, relationship and social issues, sexual assault counseling, and Spanish-speaking therapy services available.

Mental health services include mental health assessments, depression/anxiety/mental illness counseling, family therapy, stress/anger management counseling, trauma/abuse counseling, parenting and relationship counseling.

Substance abuse services include substance abuse evaluations, adolescent substance abuse groups, adult intensive outpatient (IOP), adult relapse prevention, drug court provider, family court provider, voucher provider and priority population: women who are pregnant and IV users.

Child, youth, family, and adult counseling to assist in family conflict, depression, school behavior, emotional disturbance, law violation, substance abuse, trauma, abuse, mental illness, marital issues, domestic violence, and/or attachment issues.

Offers Therapeutic Group Home to males ages 13-18 who have sexually abusive behaviors.

Specialized outpatient program for adolescents who have sexually offended, which includes risk assessment for youth, individual, family, and sex offense specific group therapy.

Extended day treatment program for children ages 6-11; hours are daytime during the summer and after school when school is in session.

Offers the following services to sexual assault victims.

Advocacy, offering legal advocacy, medical advocacy, case management, assistance with obtaining Civil No Contact Orders and Stalking No Contact Orders.

Trauma Informed Counseling/Therapy provides individual counseling/therapy, group counseling/therapy, and specialized counseling for children and adolescents.

Prevention Education programs offers programs such as Second Step - Early Learning for PreK-5, Shifting Boundaries for Grades 6-7, Safe Dates for Grades 8-12, Bringing in the Bystander for Grades 9-12, and professional and community training opportunities. 

Crisis Support offering immediate assistance through hotlines, providing safety planning, short-term emotional support, information on rights and options, and referrals or accompaniment to medical, legal, and emotional resources.

Specializes in providing treatment for sexual abuse survivors and sex offenders, as well as children with sexually problematic behavior and their families. NWTA also provides sex offender assessments and assessments of survivor trauma. Treatment is available through individual, group, and family therapy.

Recently added specialty in counseling for transgender and gender-nonconforming teens and adults, including group therapy for transgender teens at the Woodstock office.
