The Winnebago Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program at Winnebago Public Health is a crisis intervention program serving victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

Provides safe shelter for victims and their children who are fleeing a dangerous situation through on-site housing, transitional housing, financial assistance, support groups and intervention/prevention services.

Provides abuse and crisis intervention services to those going through a domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sex trafficking situation. Services include a family violence crisis line, counseling or counseling referrals for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, emergency shelter and transportation, peer support groups, and child advocacy.

Protection order assistance, criminal justice/legal advocacy, and medical advocacy are also available to those who may need it.

Provides a 24-hour hotline for sexual assault and domestic violence, human trafficking, safety planning, and information. Also provides advocacy for safety planning, crisis counseling, protection orders, transportation, emergency and long term housing, and shelter referrals.

Legal services provided for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault including citizens and immigrants.

Case Managers provide children services including:

-- Help with medical services.

-- Public health insurance.

-- Social security/disability benefits.

-- Maternity housing.

-- Drug program placement.

-- Domestic violence housing.

-- Transportation.

-- Mental health services.

-- Psychiatric evaluations or access to psychotropic medications.

-- Advocacy with the courts.

-- Social workers.

-- Probation officers.

-- Resume preparation.

-- Job placement.

-- Access to vocational or trade schools or community colleges.

-- Applications for FAFSA (federally funded financial aid).

Confidential services include; legal advocacy, individual counseling, housing & economic advocacy, medical advocacy, assistance with protection orders, educational support groups, group counseling, clinical counseling, community outreach and awareness.
