There are volunteer opportunities including leading and side-walking with horses; no experience needed.

Skills participants may learn from equine-assisted therapy include emotional regulation, self-confidence, improved communication and relationship skills, mindfulness, and many others.

10-week summer program meets once a week and helps riders develop balance, core strength, and friendships leading to increased confidence. Sessions begin at the end of the school year and generally end around fair time. Riders are asked to assist with the care and maintenance of their horse and participate in weekly games and riding challenges. Runs May through August.
