Requests that are considered for this project may include beds, clothing, car repairs, medical expenses (including pharmacy, dental and corrective lenses), furniture, rent, utilities, fees & fines, home repairs, household items, appliances, and miscellaneous other things (computer, etc.). The maximum dollar amount awarded per household is $750.

Raises and distributes funds to support education, financial stability, health, and basic needs in the community.

Provides community awareness and funding for non-profit agencies. Volunteer committee evaluates funding requests, reviewing their budget and financial needs, as well as interviewing representatives from each agency. Based upon the perceived needs of all applicants, this committee will recommend member agencies for funding to the United Way of Mahaska County Board of Directors.
Grant funding for non-profit organizations seeking charitable gifts to build permanent endowments, making grants in response to community needs, and providing services that will help shape the well-being of Siouxland.

Provides collaborative leadership, fundraising, and support for health and human service programs assisting Jasper County, Iowa, residents. The organization promotes youth enrichment by funding programs that offer activities such as arts, academics, sports, and workshops to enhance the social, emotional, physical, and academic development of school-age children and youth during out-of-school hours. Additionally, it facilitates volunteer recruitment and placement by identifying and matching individuals with skills and interests to human service agencies in need of voluntary support. Community Mental Health Funding Alliance and the local mental health authority in the south Kane County area. INC is a unique partnership of seven township community mental health 708 boards. After passing a referendum for collection of a mental health tax, each township levies this tax upon recommendation of their 708 board. The levies are combined to maximize planning and funding for the residents in all seven townships for mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services.
