Decorah Community Food Pantry provides free food including canned products, meats, produce and dry goods; household items including cleaning supplies, paper products; and personal hygiene products may available. Donations of products and cash accepted. Individuals and families may visit once a week. People select their own items amount based on family size. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Items dropped off at The Home Connection cannot exceed 2 bags unless calling ahead.

Goodwill has a thrift store offering new and used clothing and household items at lower cost. Items include clothing, household furnishings, books, some furniture, cleaning supplies, dishes, and anything to start a household. Donations are accepted at this site Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
