Home Infusion Therapy | Mercyhealth at Home

Offered to patients of all ages and is often ordered for the patient who is too weak or too ill to travel to the hospital or outpatient clinic.

Infusion Services may include

- Initiation of home infusion therapy, and teaching the care of infusion sites, lines and medication administration.
- Initial doses of approved medications.
- Educate patient and caregiver on safe administration of medications, possible side effects and possible drug interactions.
- Instruct patient and caregiver in care of all types of infusion lines and medication pumps.
- Maintenance of PICC and Central Line.
- Monitor patient's condition and response to treatment.
- Consultation and review of medication profiles.
- Preparation, dispensing and monitoring of medication orders.

Utility Assistance | West Central Community Action

Utility assistance for low income households, including the LIHEAP program during winter months.

LIHEAP aids qualifying low-income Iowa households (homeowners and renters) in the payment of a portion of their residential heating costs for the winter heating season, to encourage regular utility payments and promote energy awareness, and to encourage reduction of energy usage through energy efficiency and client education.

Coordination Services | Central Iowa Community Services

Coordination services for those with mental health or intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Each county offers a service coordinator to assist with applications for Medicaid, food assistance, housing, childcare assistance, Social Security and other human/social services that are available in the community. Directs individuals to a variety of programs to help with day-to-day living, housing, employment, and health challenges. Can also help direct clients to a variety of inpatient and outpatient resources focused on mental and physical health treatments.
