Provides permanent supportive housing for veterans. Services include laundry, internet, cable and utilities. Individuals must complete one of the emergency shelter programs to be admitted into the Courage Hall program. 

Provides help to parents of young children through regular in-home visits and groups, the services provide parents with the education and skill building they need to raise children in a happy and healthy home.

Serves families interested in adopting a legally free child.

Allows birth parents and adoptive parents to design an adoption plan that is in the best interest of the child, and recognizes the importance of the adoptive parents and birth parents developing an on-going relationship. Services include:

-- Counseling young women who are pregnant.

-- Adoption orientations.

-- Adoption home studies for domestic and international adoptions, as well as for special needs adoptions.

-- Post-placement supervision.

-- Finalization services.

-- Ongoing support groups.

-- Adoption searches.

Provides free representation to children and youth involved in juvenile court in Polk County, Iowa. The Youth Law Center provides a free legal advice hotline for youth and professionals who work with youth throughout the State of Iowa.

Provides family and leisure recreation services, a wellness center, day camp, sports, swimming, and open space to the community.

Provides treatment for non-life threatening ailments and injuries.  No appointment needed.

Provides abuse and crisis intervention services to those going through a domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sex trafficking situation. Services include a family violence crisis line, counseling or counseling referrals for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, emergency shelter and transportation, peer support groups, and child advocacy.

Protection order assistance, criminal justice/legal advocacy, and medical advocacy are also available to those who may need it.

Support group for victims of domestic violence. Open to anyone who is experiencing or has experienced abuse in an intimate relationship, including individuals who are still involved in the abusive relationship. Transportation available.

Offers general immunizations for children, adolescents, and adults.

A demand-responsive, handicapped-accessible public transit system that provides door-to-door transportation services for all residents of Iowa County, including very low-income individuals requiring transportation for shopping, medical or welfare appointments, employment, recreational or social events, or other essential activities.

Provides vocational assessments, job coaching and supported employment services. In addition, support for students with disabilities pursuing post-secondary education is available.
