Christmas can be enjoyed at Hope Cafe on Christmas day Thursday, Dec 25, 2025 from 12 pm-1 pm.

Provides education and training in approved training programs in local community colleges. Can help with the cost of tuition, books, fees, required tools, and any additional items required by the program. Program also provides a work experience and on-the-job training component. 

Work Experience offers subsidizes wages at a local employer for 1 to 6 months to help customer gain experience to gain permanent employment.

On-The-Job Training offers subsidizes half of hourly wage for a set period of time at a local employer with the intention of the employer retaining the customer after training is complete.

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks.

Shelter and support services in order to help individuals experiencing homelessness work toward becoming self-sufficient. Provides support services that enable individuals to receive crisis intervention, case management, linkage to community resources and life skills training, as well as day-to-day services including access to showers and laundry facilities.

Offers voluntary programs to eligible landowners and agricultural producers to provide financial and technical assistance to help manage natural resources in a sustainable manner. Through these programs the agency approves contracts to provide financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns or opportunities to help save energy, improve soil, water, plant, air, animal and related resources on agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land, with emphasis on market stability and commodity pricing.

Provides:

- Financial aid to military veterans and their families.

- Assists with benefits, pensions, and filing lost discharge claims.

- Referrals to mental health providers for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other combat related situations.

- Non-emergency transportation to Hines Hospital.

- Emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, food and personal needs.

Offers MEDICAID (Medical Assistance) to people who are low income and aged (65 and older), disabled (including blindness), women needing treatment for cancer or pre-cancerous conditions of breast or cervix (who have been screened and diagnosed through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection program and who do not have credible health insurance coverage), children under 21 years of age, pregnant women, parents or other caretaker relatives of children under age 18 (or under age 19 if they are attending secondary school and are expected to graduate before age 19). Medicaid will pay the costs of Health care, Dental care, In-home health care, Nursing facility care or Residential facility care.

ASP serves as the reception and classification center for all juvenile males adjudicated to the adult institutional corrections system CLARINDA CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (712-542-5634): A medium security men’s institution emphasizing: academic education, violence prevention, anger management, parenting programs, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, substance abuse program, prison industry (trailer production), private family visitation, reentry program, pre-release program, vocational training, and special needs programs FT. DODGE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (515-574-4700): A medium security men’s facility, emphasizing: academic and vocational education, psychological services and counseling, cognitive skills training, substance abuse program, reentry programs, anger management, parenting programs, family violence program, and MIFVPP IOWA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION FOR WOMEN, MITCHELLVILLE (515-725-5042): Serves as the reception and classification center for all females entering the adult institutional corrections system. A medium security women's facility emphasizing academic and vocational education, prison industries, psychological counseling, cognitive skill training, substance abuse programs, violence prevention, pre-release program, reentry programs, anger management and parenting programs IOWA MEDICAL & CLASSIFICATION CENTER, CORALVILLE (319-626-2391): IMCC serves as the reception and classification center for all males 18 years of age and older entering the adult institutional corrections system. After extensive testing and assessment of risk, health and cognitive skills, they are then processed on to other facilities. A medium security general population unit is in operation at IMCC, as well as, a special needs unit with both medical and mental health beds. IMCC also runs the only licensed forensic psychiatric hospital in the state, providing inpatient psychiatric and evaluation service to non-adjudicated patients IOWA STATE PENITENTIARY, FT. MADISON (319-372-5432): A maximum security prison facility for men emphasizing: academic and vocational education, prison industries, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, and offender treatment MT. PLEASANT WOMEN'S UNIT, Mt. Pleasant (319-385-9511): A medium/minimum security institution for women emphasizing cognitive based programming including substance abuse, sex offender programming, thinking for a change, and academic programming. In addition, mental health re-entry and recreation services are provided NEWTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (641-792-7552): A medium security facility for men. Includes: violence prevention, anger management, parenting programs, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, licensed substance abuse program, pre-release programs, off grounds work programs, Storybook, GED and literacy, CALM, Thinking for Success, criminality, Braille, Key-life skills, Blackhawk County Re-entry, prison industries, etc. NORTH CENTRAL CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, Rockwell City (712-297-7521): A minimum security facility for men emphasizing academic and vocational education, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, licensed substance abuse program, parenting programs, leader dog training, family violence prevention, pre-release program, anger management, off grounds work, prison industries, and many other programs. Provides assessments and treatment services for adolescents and adults suffering from alcohol and drug use. Services include group therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, DUI evaluation, and educational services. Various outpatient interventions are offered and delivered to residents and their families.

Bridgeway’s Prevention Program provides alcohol and drug prevention education for youth, through an evidence-based curriculum, throughout local school districts in Illinois.
