Women must be pregnant, a Nebraska resident, and meet income guidelines, and should call prior to applying for Medicaid to schedule an appointment.

Provides hospital services to anyone in need through a combination of outpatient, inpatient, and community-based programs. The hospitals also provide specialized departments and assists people from the State of Iowa as well as surrounding states who are dealing with disabilities or special illnesses.

Offers a Donor Program that provides advancement for health sciences education and the health and welfare of mankind through the utilization of deceased humans for medical study and research.

Offers law enforcement services to the Boone County area. Issues gun/firearm permits, runs requested background checks, and manages the county Jail.

Tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to people 60 and older, for the 2026 tax season.

Offers 10-week long internships for individuals with disabilities that provide vocational skills in a variety of hospital departments. At the completion of the internships, students are placed into competitive employment.

Three main categories of internships:

- Operations: stocking linens and supplies, dock, assembling and cleaning equipment, delivering linens/equipment, completing work orders, sanitizing, etc.

- Clerical: data entry, scanning, making and receiving phone calls, alphabetizing, minimal patient interaction, shredding, using copying machines, sorting mail, etc.

- Hospitality: food and beverage prep, customer service, cashiering, stocking food items, cleaning spills, catering, refilling creamer and coffee machines, catering, identifying specialty items, etc.

Offers a transitional living maternity home that provides a safe haven for vulnerable pregnant women and their infants, offering a stable and supportive environment. The focus is on encouraging women to become self-sufficient, and to help develop the mother spiritually, emotionally and intellectually throughout pregnancy and into early motherhood. Creates an individualized case plan for each mother that incorporates both comprehensive health services and transitional housing. Case workers provide each mother with access to preventative care, prenatal care, delivery and postpartum care, and even transportation to and from appointments. Also provides educational resources and life skills support. Works with healthcare providers to provide specialized care to mothers and babies with medical complications, providing medical care and treatment for every pregnant woman and her baby. Supports pregnant women and their babies in desperate circumstances, including those who are fleeing domestic violence, experiencing mental health issues, or experiencing homelessness.

Provides general health care needs, including preventive care as well as urgent problems of adult and pediatric patients.

Offers to resell used clothing, furniture, household items, toys, games, and similar items at affordable costs to benefit Animal Lifeline of Iowa. Donations, including toys and games, are accepted and may be repaired if necessary for resale or distribution.
