Offers to lend medical health equipment to individuals in Whiteside County. Also accepts donated equipment. Types of equipment available include canes, crutches, walkers, hospital beds, wheelchairs, knee walkers, bedside commodes, toilet risers, shower/bath seats, bath transfer benches, bathtub rails, shower grab bars, 30" Reach/grab, icing machines, ankle and wrist weights, bed rails, toilet rails, and gait belts, surgical boots, sock aids and more. 

Provides professional counseling and casework services for individuals, marriages, and families experiencing a variety of social, emotional, and interpersonal problems. Works with a variety of issues such as, anxiety, depression, family and adolescent issues.

The goal is to provide clients with the skills necessary to surmount a problem, and/or link to the services that may help prevent a recurrence of the crisis that caused them to seek out services.

Telehealth services are available.

Offers a 24-hour Mobile Crisis Response Team in coordination with Central Iowa Community Services (CICS) and the Care Connections of Northern Iowa region. Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis can call to have the Mobile Crisis Unit dispatched.

Direct service programming is offered to businesses and job seekers (with autism) to match needs and talents in permanent employment positions.

Offers an Early Head Start for children ages 3 and under. Parents are taught the stages of a child's development and activities they can do with their child to nurture her or his development. 

Provides financial assistance with prescriptions that cost less than $150 can be requested directly. Only referring agencies can request help for an individual's prescriptions that cost more than $150, or for other medical needs.

School district providing infant and toddler childcare, preschool, elementary, and secondary education. Community education.

Clothing and school supplies through Endowment Fund for needy children; contact individual school for information.

Offers to assist home owners or renters who have a disconnect notice or have missed a payment on a pay arrangement. Can also assist homeowners who have a back bill. If funds are available, households may receive emergency assistance with furnace repair/replacement (if a homeowner) and/or emergency delivery of deliverable fuel. Clients need to have been LIHEAP approved during our program year (October 1 through April 30) or they can complete a crisis application.

Provides supplemental food which is available to those with limited food resources within Cedar County. Food is also available on an emergency basis. Leave a message on the answering machine at the church. Perishable food available.

Extended outpatient and continuing care services for adults and adolescents. Offers treatment in both group and individual settings.

Provides financial assistance (assistance with utilities, gas, groceries, and more), a limited food pantry, and other care as needed.

Offers emergency services following any kind of local disaster (tornado, fire, power outage, and more); often serves as a designated Red Cross shelter in those situations.

Federal nutrition program that provides nutrition education, nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, nutritious foods, and referrals to other community services.

Provides permanent shared housing for adult women who are transitioning from unstable housing, reentry, healthcare settings, or seeking a safe and stable community living environment. Services include shared rooms, kitchens, and living areas, affordable housing, a drug-free environment for safety, and support for following house rules, while residents take care of their own daily needs and build connections with other women in the home. 

Offers individual and family therapy through a comprehensive behavioral health program designed to provide therapeutic intervention in the lives of McHenry County youth and their families.

Assists youth in developing the insight, skills and strategies to improve their functioning. Using evidence-based approaches, outpatient therapy provides high quality intervention to improve the lives and futures of young people.

Offers family therapy to enhance the communication and dynamics within the family.

Offers free meals, daytime shelter, free laundry services, showers, and individual lockers to keep personal items secure.

Offers in-person and telehealth counseling for women and girls in Illinois. All counselors are trauma focused, BIPOC, and speak multiple languages.

Offers two in-person locations, in downtown Chicago and Lincoln Square in Chicago.

Offers testing of private wells, well and septic system inspection, radon testing and correction advice. Also provides swimming pool, spa, tanning bed, and tattoo parlor inspections. Complaints: Receives and investigates complaints dumping and other garbage issues, illegal burning, and animal bites. When possible, works with tenant complaints regarding rental home conditions.

Offers free group-education parenting skills classes,  subjects such as Wellness, managing or prevent diabetes, heart disease, or obesity.
