Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction. 

Provide a single point of entry to the Illinois Early Intervention Program (EI). Early Intervention offers developmental support and case coordination services for families with children under 3 years old with developmental delays. Service Coordinators assist referred families through the process of enrollment into the EI, as well as initiate referrals for evaluations and direct services. Eligible participants receive case coordinator through CFC to monitor individualized goals, strategies, and services. Additionally, staff assist families with the transition from the EI program into local school/care special education services based on the family's priorities and the child's needs.

Crisis team (Engagement Specialist and Crisis Counselor) provide mobile crisis response.

County level services include direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service. Must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Dakota County.

State level services do not require wartime service. Completes applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, Nebraska Veterans Homes, and waivers of tuition.

Federal level services provide and/or complete Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Offers a free and confidential crisis line for veterans. Can also help with local suicide prevention coordinators, who can connect veterans to ongoing counseling and services in their area.

Provides an 8-week summer day camp for school aged children, and monthly evening activity program for adults with intellectual disabilities. 

Supportive home for those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction; residents must abide by the rules of the home, including never using drugs or alcohol while a resident. Homes may house men, women, women with children, or men with children.

Provides energy assistance for eligible low income families in which a benefit is paid directly to the utility companies on behalf of eligible households, or directly to renters if the utility costs are included in their rent.

Some applicants may qualify for the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP), where an eligible client pays a percentage of their income, receives a monthly benefit towards their utility bill, and receives a reduction in overdue payments for every on-time payment they make by the bill due date. Provides a variety of reproductive health care services to those in need. Services include pelvic and breast exams, as well as pap smears, to screen for cancer and other infections/diseases, birth control and contraceptive care, pregnancy testing, STD screenings, and HIV screening and prevention counseling.
