Provides counseling and therapy services, including evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis for children and families experiencing behavioral and mental health issues.

Services include specialized support for runaway and homeless youth, offering emotional guidance and assistance in resolving underlying issues. Therapeutic interventions include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma recovery and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thoughts and cognitions as behaviors. Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is provided for juvenile offenders as an alternative to residential treatment, focusing on improving family relations, peer associations, and school performance.

The program also offers Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), which uses real-time coaching to help parents manage childhood aggression and defiance while strengthening the parent-child relationship. Additionally, play therapy is utilized to help children express emotions and to assist in diagnosing the source of behavioral difficulties.

Intermittent services to maintain or increase independent living skills.  For people who live in their own apartments, staff provide personalized supports including assistance with banking, grocery shopping, medical appointments and accessing their communities.  The amount of support is guided in partnership with staff and is documented in the Individual Program Plan.  Also provides respite services as an additional support to families.  Typically, people served are eligible for Supported Residential Services if they do not require staffing 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Iowa Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education. The Iowa SMP provides group presentations and works one-on-one with Medicare beneficiaries. Additionally, we assist individual Medicare beneficiaries impacted by fraud, errors, or abuse. When fraud or abuse is suspected, we ensure the proper steps are taken by the beneficiary and refer the case to the appropriate state and federal agencies for further investigation.
