Offers to work with registered child care providers to improve the nutritional level of the children they serve via nutrition classes and home visits. The program reimburses registered providers for providing USDA approved meals and snacks, thus ensuring the nutrition children need to grow.

Offers adult and child immunizations. Influenza shots are offered during the flu season (October through March).

Primary care services with an emphasis on holistic options, including diabetes care, hormone care, and immunizations.

For Christmas 2026:

Project Santa provides 3-5 new Christmas toys for each registered child, plus books, school supplies, and coloring books. To sign up (beginning Dec 1-Dec 22, 2026), community members can visit the Timberlake Outreach Center (Tue-Sat). This should be done during visitors' once-a-month shopping time. Each child can only be signed up for this program once.

- Applicants must bring a current piece of mail, Social Security cards for each child, and a document verifying the children’s ages (such as a birth certificate or Medicaid card).

- After sign-up, applicants will be given a confirmation sheet with an appointment day and time to come and shop for toys for the children who were signed up. Applicants will need to bring that confirmation sheet with them when shopping for toys.

- The Toy N Joy shop is located on the main campus by the airport in Omaha, and will be open (by appointment only) from 10 am-6 pm on December 18th, 19th, 22nd, and 23rd. Parents cannot bring children with them to shop.

Offers MEDICAID (Medical Assistance) to people who are low income and aged (65 and older), disabled (including blindness), women needing treatment for cancer or pre-cancerous conditions of breast or cervix (who have been screened and diagnosed through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection program and who do not have credible health insurance coverage), children under 21 years of age, pregnant women, parents or other caretaker relatives of children under age 18 (or under age 19 if they are attending secondary school and are expected to graduate before age 19). Medicaid will pay the costs of Health care, Dental care, In-home health care, Nursing facility care or Residential facility care.

Outpatient assessments, referrals, intensive outpatient treatment, and peer support related to substance use. Through these interventions, the client with a substance abuse issue learns their issues are not unique and can be addressed. Family and loved ones are also taught coping skills to assist them in supporting the user build a healthier lifestyle.

Level I Outpatient Therapy provides professionally directed evaluation, treatment and recovery services for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder. Treatment services are provided in group or individual sessions or a combination of both, depending on an individual’s needs. Treatment typically lasts 12 weeks.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group-focused, non-residential program for adults 19 and older. IOP is more in-depth than traditional outpatient treatment services, offering a minimum of 10 hours of treatment per week. IOP typically lasts six to eight weeks. Intensive groups meet for three-hour sessions, three days a week. Each participant must also attend at least one additional individual or family session each week. Services are available days and evenings.

Substance Use Evaluations are specialized assessments used to clinically determine possible substance use issues, with recommendations for an appropriate level of care if determined to be medically necessary.

Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities. Provides public transit services to all citizens and visitors of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story, and Warren counties. Service supports transportation needs for various purposes, including medical appointments, trips to childcare or children's activities, shopping, banking, social events, and other non-emergency needs. Door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation may be available to ensure accessibility for those who require special accommodations.

Provides autism screenings and help find diagnostic services. Teams help Iowa families navigate local supports and services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and provide family-to-family support.
