Families First Counseling Services - Clinton
Couple and Family Clinic, The
Advanced graduate students in training offer counseling for individuals, couples and families. Students are supervised by AAMFT approved supervisors and clinical faculty from the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies. Clients may call for an appointment, and an initial interview is usually made within 24 business hours.
Common issues addressed include relationship conflicts, parent-child conflicts, depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, child abuse, self-esteem issues, cultural issues, anger management, divorce adjustment, school problems, behavior problems with children and adolescents, traumatic experience issues, and LBGTQ issues.
Brown County Community Action Outreach Office
Works with income-eligible homeowners to make their homes safer and more energy efficient by eliminating heat loss and air infiltration areas in the home. After the initial assessment, recommendations on home improvements are given to the homeowner and the Weatherization team will coordinate repairs with contractors. Examples of common improvements include sealing cracks, insulating attics, or repairing windows and doors. All improvements are completed at no cost to the homeowner.
Additional priority is given to households with elderly, disabled, and young children.
Lighthouse Shelter
Emergency shelter with case managers to identify barriers to permanent housing and develop a case plan to help the residents overcome the barriers. The goal is to assist each resident in securing and maintaining permanent housing.

SHOW BUS
Offers rural public transportation, to persons of all ages. Passengers may ride scheduled routes by reservation, for any trip purpose or may request special service for medical appointments. Pick up is at central community locations and at passengers' homes. Vehicles are lift-equipped to accommodate wheelchairs.
Justicia Lab
Online service that guides users safely through every step of the citizenship application start to finish.
Informs users if they may need help from an immigration expert.
Works with lawyers from over 200 non-profit organizations to help with the citizenship process if there is a problem with a client's application. Connects clients to free, live, online legal help or a local partner organization.
Illinois Respite Coalition
Provides coordination of community-based respite care services for family caregivers of children and adults with special needs in Illinois. The Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) assists families in avigation funding streams., eligibility criteria and fragmented services. IRC also builds connections between caregivers and providers through online resources, a statewide network, and access to training opportunities.
Grundy Family YMCA
Provides summer day camps for school-aged children. Children have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make new friendships.
Freeport Police Department
Provides police and dispatch services responsible for emergency assessment and response.
Hope for Tomorrow
Provides individuals suffering from mental health diseases and/or chronic substance use disorders with peer-led sober living houses. House rules and structure are geared toward the maintenance of recovery. Three (3) recovery homes in total are available.
YSS - Ames
Offers programs designed to prepare youth to make healthy choices through prevention, education, and enrichment activities. These services aim to provide early awareness, intervention, and out-of-classroom support to equip children and adolescents with the tools they need to stay on a positive path. Programs address a variety of critical issues, including:

Additionally, youth enrichment programs are offered to promote healthy social interaction and help participants maximize their social, emotional, physical, and academic potential. These programs may include arts and crafts, academic workshops, sports, reading clubs, and other recreational, cultural, and civic activities.

Santa Monica Halfway House
Offers long term residential treatment for adult women with a primary substance use diagnosis (co-occurring capable).
Provides chemical dependency evaluations to assist access to care for substance misuse.
The Intermediate Residential program is a 90-day primary treatment program that is typically the first program women participate in at Santa Monica, to prepare them for the step-down continuum of care.
The Halfway House is a three to six month program where women will seek and maintain employment during their treatment.
If a woman successfully completes the Halfway House program and/or the Intermediate Residential program, they are then eligible for the 3/4 Way House and the Supported Transitional Living Apartments. Women residing in the house or apartments will be provided with Peer Support services.
