Applications are accepted November 1 – April 30; for elderly (60+) or disabled individuals applications are accepted starting October 1. Income must fall within 200% of poverty guideline. Call for an appointment. A letter has been sent to those who may be eligible for early application in August or September.
**This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The program will provide supplemental assistance based on several factors. This is a one-time payment to your energy provider.

Northwestern Medicine - Valley West Hospital
Mental health case management. Aids in assessment, planning, and support for a variety of needs. Assists with housing, public income entitlements, accessing various services, and more.
Case management services include, advocacy for mental health and other services, identifying and linking individuals with necessary resources, building skills for daily living.
Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership - Central City
Stress and Trauma Treatment Center
Provides the following services:
- Early intervention to children and youth who have experienced multiple traumas
- Early childhood (0-5) mental health services
- Children and adolescents mental health services
- Depression therapy
- Anxiety therapy
- Trauma therapy
- PTSD therapy
- Family and other relationship therapy
Arc of East Central Iowa, The
Provides employment services to individuals with disabilities. Services may include Job Development and Job Coaching.
Bolingbrook Park District
Park district with various programs and facilities youth activities and camps, environmental education, aquatics, dance, gymnastics, sports, special events, fitness, and teen and adult programming.
National Youth Advocate Program
Provides immediate, community-based crisis services to address mental health challenges, substance use concerns, and trauma-related distress. Services include in-person assessments, crisis stabilization, community engagement, and follow-up care to improve the well-being of children, youth, and adults.
Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association - Frankfort Township
Provides delivery of hot meals to home-bound seniors. Additional frozen meals available to be used for dinner and on weekends.
Fox Valley United Way
Collects and distributes funds to agencies in various communities in southern Kane and Kendall Counties.
Also provides information and referrals to and about United Way funded agencies.
Senior Services of Central Illinois
Provides a home-delivered meal program focused on physician prescribed, specialty dietary needs (low sodium, diabetic, etc). Hot meals are delivered Mon-Fri, customized to each individuals dietary needs. Participants may add a breakfast meal to their delivery for an additional cost.
**At this time, delivery is available in Springfield only.
Survivor Empowerment Center - Marion Satellite Office
Offers legal advocacy and education services for individuals involved in sexual abuse or domestic violence. Services include orders of protection and understanding court procedures, services are available in-person and online. Medical advocacy is available for participant emergencies or to address ongoing health concerns. Services are available on an individual basis as well as in group settings with other survivors.
CGH Medical Center
General medical care for all. Services include:
- Audiology.
- Family medicine.
- ENT.
- Gastroenterology.
- Internal medicine.
- Pediatrics.
Animal Rescue League of Iowa
Provides a pet food pantry for pet owners who are struggling to feed their pets due to financial difficulty. Individuals may use the pantry twice a month. Patrons may pick up food for up to 2 households (including their own). The pantry operates weekly at various locations across Des Moines on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dogs - 1 gallon-size bag (approximately 4 lbs.) per dog, up to 3 bags total.
Cats - 1 quart-size bag (approximately 1 lb.) per cat, up to 3 bags total.
Litter - 1 container per household.

Offers programs supporting girls in developing full potential through group activities focused on values clarification, self-esteem, social and leadership skills, and constrictive leisure pursuits. offers opportunities in healthy living, travel, financial literacy, arts, STEM and outdoor education.
Neighborhood Care Center - McLean County Network
Provides a weekly warehouse grocery store pantry. Available pantry items may include, perishable food products, non-perishable food products, fruits, vegetables, breads, toiletries, cleaning products.
Spero Family Services - Murphysboro Office
Provides comprehensive support services for individuals and families facing mental health or behavioral challenges. Families build a personalized support team that may include professionals, service providers, friends, mentors, and other trusted individuals.

Offers a 24-hour emergency shelter.
Saint Vincent de Paul - 6th Avenue
Offers the Back2Work program, one-on-one job coaching, the Immersion Reentry program, the DOT Knowledge (written) Test, and assistance with benefits applications. Also Provides a HiSET Prep course to improve skills in preparation of the test, and Financial Literacy program designed to give students a closer look at their financial habits, and help them create goals and give them tools to create an effective budget.

**Not offering a Christmas dinner this year 2025**
Provides a Christmas Eve dinner from 12 pm-2 pm to persons in need. Sign-up begin December 1 2024, and continues until the event is full. Please call the church or email Lu to register. Delivery is available to ONLY Cedar Rapid residents who are housebound. Must provide address. Deliveries will be made on December 24, 2024, (11 am-1 pm) Call the church to register.
