Provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, mortgage, and life-saving prescription medications to those that meet income guidelines. Might be able to assist with gasoline, call for information. 

Provides tobacco cessation counseling and information to tobacco users who want to quit tobacco use, and tobacco cessation materials to individuals requesting information to give to a tobacco user. There is also a support group offered along with tobacco education.

Works with primary care providers who identify social/emotional or developmental concerns, family stressors, or caregiver depression during well child medical exams. If a condition is identified, the family is referred to a support specialist who provides care coordination. Specialists may provide referrals for developmental screening, mental health or behavioral health services, or other needs, and will monitor the family's progress.

Offers skilled care in home for individuals in need of assistance. Services include light housekeeping, cooking and shopping.

Offers medical and legal advocacy. Confidential, around-the-clock legal and medical advocacy is available for survivors and their families.

Medical Advocacy: Clove Alliance advocates are always available to support survivors, their families, and friends during a visit to the emergency room for a medical examination or evidence collection. Advocates can also accompany clients to any follow-up medical appointments, help them receive reimbursement for medical costs associated with the crime, and answer questions on the following:

- Medical exams.

- Evidence collection (rape kit).

- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs).

- Pregnancy and emergency contraception. 

 - Medications.

- Follow-up medical care.

- Crime Victims Compensation through the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

- Referrals.

- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE).

Tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to people 60 and older during tax season (Feb 1-April 15).

Sessions are designed to increase family bonding, build positive communication skills, and solve problems together.

Provides an Operation Cat Snip (Trap-Neuter-Return) program. Humanely and effectively reducing Des Moines’ outdoor community cat population by altering, vaccinating, ear-tipping and returning cats to the areas where they are already living and thriving. The program is free to community cat caregivers in Des Moines.

Provides health legal services that helps individuals and families obtain and maintain Medicaid and Medicare and obtain coverage for services needed. Can also assist with medical assistance denials, terminations, spend down issues (Medicaid, Medicare), establishing powers of attorney, nursing home discharges, helping family members obtain guardianship or other legal authority to care for loved ones, and helping people with HIV/AIDS obtain care and services.

Offers law enforcement services to the Iowa County area. Issues gun/firearm permits, runs requested background checks, and manages the county Jail.

Responds to complaints from citizens to enforce City and County health codes concerning risks posed by garbage, safety hazards, and disease vectors (rodents and insects). Inspections include public education on the elimination of conditions which pose a risk to public health.
