Provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children.
TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.
Transitional services are also available to help families become independent, such as GED preparation, vocational training, job retention programs, etc.

All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Batavia
Provides short-term assistance involving basic necessities and resource help with budgeting. A home visit will be required. Cash is not provided, bills are paid by vouchers or certificates. Program may provide furniture as well as certificates for grocery items not available at food pantries or through the LINK (food stamp) program.
Iowa's Juvenile Fire Intervention Program - Region 4 - Southwest
Provides a cohesive partnership among the communities and Fire Departments to reduce the number of fire injuries and deaths, by providing evaluation, education, and redirection assistance to the children who exhibit fire setting behavior at no cost to the families affected. Trained providers will connect a child (or youth) to appropriate resources in the community, this can include fire safety education or professional counseling services when necessary. When accepting applications, applications will be available online beginning at 12 am at [email protected]. Paper applications will be available from 8 am-5 pm at the Housing and Community Development Department, 350 W 6th St, Suite 312 in Dubuque. Can also call (563) 589-4230. Applications will be accepted the second Tuesday of the month.
PLEASE NOTE: The Housing Choice Voucher waiting list will only open on the second Tuesday of each month for a 24 hour time period to accept applications. Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications are accepted for 24 hours on the second Tuesday of each month from 12 am to 11:59 p.m. Each month, all applications received are placed in a random lottery selection for placement on a waiting list.

The WIC and SNAP outreach programs seek to assure that limited-English-proficient immigrants and refugees eligible for WIC and SNAP benefits can successfully access these programs administered by IDHS.
The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) administers this program through a network of community-based partner agencies.

Toys for Tots holiday program, providing gifts for children. For Christmas 2025: The Toys for Tots Application is open from October 1-November 17, 2025.
Apply online. You will receive a letter/voucher if you are accepted into the program. Heartland United Way works in partnership with the US Marine Corp each year to offer the Toys for Tots program. Children must be age 12 or younger and reside in the household.

Provides well-baby care services, including health screenings and immunizations, to support the physical well-being and healthy development of infants and toddlers, with some programs extending to preschool-aged children.
Also offers comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services for sexually transmitted infections, including contact tracing to help prevent the spread of infections.
