Play therapy for children dealing with stress, trauma, a parent's divorce, family problem, or past abuse or neglect.

Offers to help build affordable homes for individuals in need. Most of the homes are 3 bedrooms with 1.5 bathrooms, or 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Including a driveway, crawlspace, storage shed and a refrigerator. 

Provides engineering and design of County roadway projects, including local resurfacing and bridge replacement. The division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Secondary Road System, including ditch cleaning, roadway surface repairs, bridge and culvert repairs, and snow removal.

Offers low cost and long term transitional Housing for families in recovery from substance abuse.

Offers library services.

Supplies food to individuals and families up to 3 times in a 6 month interval, or 6 times a year. Enough food is provided to subsidize meals for 10 days according to the family size.

Canned and non-perishable foods are given from supplies on hand, and vouchers may be given: $40.00 for one person and up to $52.00 for 5 and above people.

Currently, customers are asked to drive up to the window to be served. Volunteers can assist with loading items into the vehicle, if needed.

Provides participants of Day Habilitation who are not necessarily seeking employment but are looking for opportunities that enhance community relationships and improve personal goals. Volunteer experiences.

Provides free consultations and low-cost services for DACA renewals, citizenship, adjustment of status, asylum, work authorization, U visas, and more. 

Collects and distributes blood and platelets to patients in need.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Participants gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who have gone through the same experiences. NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.

Hearing Voices/Special Messages is a support group for individuals with this unique experience. It is lead by peers who have lived experience with this.

Provides monthly income for individuals without minor children and without adequate income that can be used to pay for food, rent/shelter, utilities, medical care, or other essential items. General Assistance recipients may be required to participate in the township's Job Search and Training program unless medically exempt.

Provides intensive intact family case management services for which DCFS has identified that abuse and neglect has occurred within the family, but safety measures can be in place to keep the children in the care of the family.

Provides outreach, emergency shelter, interim housing, and transitional living services to homeless youth ages 16-24. Services include:

-- Shelter and/or Housing

-- Individual counseling

-- Drug and alcohol assessments

-- Tutoring for GED and High School diplomas

-- Employment services

-- Money management

-- Life Skills

-- Referrals with other community resources.

Youth under the age of 18 will reside at shelter located in Springfield. Those over 18 may reside at the shelter, receive interim emergency housing in a community apartment, or reside in their own community-based apartments.

Arrangements for those ordered to complete community service in Douglas County.

Provides connections for caregivers to the many resources available such as planning assistance, referrals, training, respite care, support groups, counseling, and emotional support.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent, utilities and food may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.
