Offers housing support services to youth who have aged out of foster care, ages 18-21, who are either homeless or having problems with housing. These same services are available to Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) involved families with a referral from their caseworker.

Provide whole-person, patient-centered, coordinated medical, behavioral and social support services for Medicaid eligible adults with mental illness. The Integrated Health Program is a free service for those who qualify. The program is designed to improve access to care; improve the overall health care experience; and improve health outcomes of participants. The Integrated Health Program coordinates services for individuals receiving Habilitation Services who are not on another Waiver.

Maintains and provides access to official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state and federal tax liens, military records, birth, divorce, death, and marriage records. Offers services for issuing and renewing licenses for ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, and fishing, as well as marriage licenses and certificates. Operates as a Passport acceptance facility with photo services and processes military records for tax exemptions and benefits.

Additionally, issues public health permits to certify compliance with health laws for various facilities and institutions. Services include the establishment of standards, review of applications, issuance of permits, and enforcement of compliance through inspections and monitoring.

City government departments and other city information.

Offers a hand-up to area families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing. Works to keep homes affordable through the use of volunteer labor and affordable mortgages. Qualified applicants make less than 80 percent of the area median income and become full partners in the work of building or rehabilitating the future home. In order to become a Habitat homeowner, the applicant must meet the following criteria, 

Have a demonstrated need for housing. Have a sufficient, stable and verifiable household income to support monthly mortgage payments. Mortgage payments do not exceed 30 percent of the homeowner’s household income.

Be willing to complete 200-300 hours of sweat equity. These hours are completed on the build sites and through time spent at a nine-part education series homeowners are required to complete prior to moving into their home

Provides a maternity home (NOT A SHELTER) dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of single pregnant mothers, girls that are not pregnant but have an infant, or girls who are pregnant with another young child (infant) with them. It is a safe haven where they can stay while learning the skills they need to make a better life for themselves and their babies.

Offers federally subsidized apartments for low income families.

Provides property assessment, property value information, Homestead, Veteran and Family Farm Credit sign up.

State Supplement adds to the benefits of the federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Program to bring the income of aged and disabled individuals up to the need of standards of Nebraska. Additionally, some persons are not eligible for SSI payments, but qualify for a State Supplement payment because of different standards and regulations.

State Disability provides aid to needy persons who have a disability expected to last for at least six months, but less than the 12 months required to be eligible for the federal Supplemental Security Income Program.

Provides a drop in location for those feeling stressed, overwhelmed, experiencing increased mental health symptoms, or if needing information about local resources and services. Staff are available to listen and support, help find solutions, and plan next steps.

Individuals do not have to already be receiving services from LSRC to visit the Living Room.

Provides public transit services to all citizens and visitors of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story, and Warren counties. The service is open to individuals of all ages, income levels, and abilities, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

The service supports transportation needs for various purposes, including medical appointments, trips to child care or children's activities, shopping, banking, social events, and other non-emergency needs. Door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation is available to ensure accessibility for those who require special accommodations.

Offers low cost and long term transitional Housing for families in recovery from substance abuse.

Offers non-clinical substance use recovery peer support services.

Offers guidance and possible assistance to help with emergency needs such as rent or utility bills. Other needs may also be accommodated. Not able to provide security deposits. Help is available one time per year.

Connects families to dentists and provides education about the benefits of regular dental care; fluoride varnish available to children by appointment.

Dental sealants available to youth at certain schools in the area.

Offers a variety of programs for youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Programs include adult and youth sports, running clubs, walking clubs, youth aquatics programs, teen and adult swim lessons, aquatics personal training, dance programs, swim team, teen wellness center certification (to access fitness and cardio equipment in YMCA Wellness Centers), fab 50 club (social club for members age 50+), sports specific performance training, personal fitness, healthy lifestyle classes and programs, group fitness classes, family fitness, splash water safety program, and a teen achievers program. 

Provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary response to child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse allegations in a neutral, child-focused setting.

Coordinates and tracks the investigations, medical treatment, counseling referrals, prosecution and training in order to protect the best interests of the child victims and their families.
